you know, the internet is really great for me... i just played a guy in california from india (7500 miles distance for your information) and theere was practically NO lag. i'm serious... i think there were just 5 split-second, barely noticeable instances in each match.

you know, i really can't see how nintendo could've possible included voice chat, simply because of bandwidth. they have to send all the brawl data with as little lag as possible, and then you want them to send the large audio data as well? it would be nearly impossible to have both the gameplay...
