I bet you're jealous of Australians, seeing as they only have 2-3 days, where as you have a nice 8 days. We only have just one more day than Australia to wait, but then Japan are 2 days after you, so .... it's not all bad :p
Well, hopefully it'll will be playable in Dolphin. Otherwise I'll have to wait until I go home for Thanksgiving break. All the games I've gotten this fall (Other M, Kirby, Goldeneye) have played almost perfectly in Dolphin. Hopefully Sonic keeps that trend going.

I think the Wii one of the only consoles, if not THE only console, where you don't have to buy hardware or software to play a good number of just released games. Of course I'm not a pirate, so I buy the games and then download them.

Edit: And it runs, but doesn't accept any input except the home button

Anyway, here come the brstms

You know there is/was a load of unapproved (pending) BRSTMs on brawlcustommusic.com?

I can't be bothered to listen to all 50+ BRSTMs to see if they loop, so it'd be helpful if people actually approved BRSTMs instead of just leaving it. The more each mod does, the less each one has to do, if that makes sense. If everyone leaves it to build up, then those who are bothered, have to do it all, however, if a mod approves any BRSTMs when ever they are online, it'd be easier.

Koopa, besides you, me, and moosehunter, who else can approve the BRSTMs?

Sorry, I usually check any that are there, but I've been busy the past few days. Sonic Colors took up too much of my spare time.

And nobody Segtendo.

Edit: Lol, the traffic increased by 1100% on my website over the past day.

I have a little question...

I have made the BRSTM files of Pokémon trading Card Game on the GameBoy Color, and most of them reaches the end and start over. And the problem is that these same BRSTM loops naturally.

Should I check the box "The original song naturally loops" or "The original song does not naturally loop, and the Brstm reaches the end and starts over" ? I only want to make sure I check the right boxes :)

The original song naturally loops is what you select.
The "reaches the end and starts over" one is only for ones that do NOT originally loop, for example, say you made a BRSTM of a song, and you just made it so that after the song ends, it just starts again.

A few of the songs were actually well ripped, but most of the others had either SFX in them or got the beginning being cut-off.

To resolve this problem, I ripped myself some of the songs from the game using VisualBoyAdvance (there is a sound recorder in this emulator that let you create stereo .WAV files). And I have to say, I'm quite proud of this rip :)

The gbs set is a 64 kb file containing all the music from the game. You can use a winamp plugin, or a standalone player to play them.

This is how I'd do Game Boy songs. Firstly, I've got Winamp, in_nez.dll and out_disk.dll already, so I get the GBS file. I then get VGMToolbox, and in VGMToolbox, I go to Misc Tools, then GBS Tools, then GBS M3U Creator. Then I just drag and drop the GBS in here. It then creates a single M3U (playlist) file of the different GBS tracks, but as seperate tracks. I then open Notepad, and drag the M3U in it, and then edit the 'times' (usually for 2 loops). Since I'm not aware of any easier method, I just simply listen to the song and decide for my self when it's looped twice, and just type the time at the beginning of the 3rd time. After this, I load the M3U in Winamp, and then go to Properties, and select the out_disk.dll plug-in from the Output plug-ins menu, and just convert the tracks to WAV. The reason for the times is so that the WAV file contains only 2 loops of the song. Otherwise you get a load of unnecessary 5-minute WAVs, which is pointless especially if one of the WAVs is the sound of Mario jumping, and just has about 1-2 seconds of sound, and just over 5 minutes of silence.

Anyway, once I've got the WAVs, I just do what everyone else does. Finds the loop points, amplifies it if necessary (which with GBS is a definite yes), and puts it in BCSM-GUI (1.5.0.0), and yay!

That seems like alot of unnecessary work unless you're wanting to update the set with the m3u file. You could just let the songs play for 2-3 minutes depending on the game and then just tag the wav's.

What if however, the song is particularly long, and longer than the default 5 minutes? (As in one loop, not 2) -- although I haven't known of any Game Boy songs that are that long.

Here's the first 1/6 of my personally edited and encoded BRSTMs (all of which I use for my own personal hacked copy of Brawl). The rest will be added shortly (when I have the time). They're all already uploaded to Mediafire, I just don't have the time to add them all here at this moment (gotta pack for J-PopCon in Copenhagen).

There are three additional songs that I just edited and encoded today that have not yet been uploaded to that folder and there's about 18 songs which I've edited and encoded for my personal hack of Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution III European Version , which have not been uploaded to the folder yet, either. Those will be uploaded shortly.

I'm gonna make the Sonic Colors (DS) music into BRSTMs, using the 2sf's. I'm amazed since Sweet Mountain Act 1 sounds like the Wii version and it isn't streamed O.o

You may want to loop the wisp power-ups. Also, you could have placed the loop point on final boss 1 about 50-55 seconds earlier than you did.

Maybe later, I don't feel like making another BRSTM tonight.

As for the Wisps, I looped the drill (like it normally does), but laser and rocket are too short to loop.

Turn on infinite looping in the 2sf plugin preferences. And the rocket is the only one that doesn't loop.
