I have no idea about texture hacks for this system I just know that the things that I put my bin file, (namely every brawl+ code on the code thread) worked for me.

Ok using just the Beta 4 codes in my GCT that was converted to a .BIN I was able to load the codes through a snapshot. The problem is applying the textures. Putting it in the GCT that converts to a .BIN freezes the game. Here is the GCT I put in my CODES folder on my Wii.

P.S. Thank you for all this help guys.

er... yeah
click open, select a txt file
it would be better to use a folder with B+ files, but it reads .txt files too. note the BrawlPlusery3.3 folder with a bunch of B+ in creates a new tab. same happens with a txt file.

Maybe at one point you'll have as a vast enough collection as xtm

Zomg, cambridge! Awesome! Except they don't want to let me study there =*(.
Yeah, I'm in my first year, although I'm totally failing because I spend all my time gaming

Anyway, I'm awake now, and in a bit I'll start making some more videos to help out the nooblets.

It's interesting to hear that textures aren't working. Does anyone have any idea why??

Ah I see, you already figured everything out, SF?
Nice seeing it work, haven't tested it myself yet.

I believe you can't load the Texture SD code from the BIN file. It has to be from the GCT

I didn't figure out what you were doing for the encryption. If you could, I'd like the source for that. It's the only thing stopping me from not making a GCT=>BIN file on the Wii or a special GeckoOS that makes a BIN file for if the GCT is over 256 lines (that would be ideal). For my Brawl+ Tweaker I just threw in your Crypter executable and the DLLs but source would be nice (if it's in C, even better, but I'm sure it's in C++)

Mh strange, I'm not using any dlls, it's a fully 77kb standalone tool.
And regarding the source, it's a bit messy.. but.. wanna meet @ IRC?

Have you tried playing it WITHOUT the snapshot + codes on? If it's still making sounds while playing it regularly, it's your Wii's disc drive and has nothing to do with the snapshots.

Up to 134A0 (79008 in decimal) "lines" are allocated for the character and their overlay.

Get the checked out man, my Wii doesn't read discs as of last Sunday because of disc drive problems.

You headed down the same road man. The no Wii road....

I tried that but when I loaded tweaker 008 it said that it couldn't read my text file, it's in the same format that I use with the ocarina code manager,

game number

game name

code title
codexxxxx
xxxxxxxxx

code title
codexxxxx

does that not work with tweaker?

it's not my disc drive. i can mute the tv and the sounds won't be bothering me. only when i use the snapshot method do i get this problem. i just ran vbrawl and let 2 cpus kill each other for like 45 mins and it hasn't made that sound at all.

if it's not a grating disk noise, but just a "working" "loading" type noise it's prolly just the wii grabbing info from your sd card, it has to load the codes from your sd card when you click on the snapshot in realtime and the sdcard is an external devise so it's going to make a little "working" noise but that's nothing to be alarmed about.

The texture replacement hacks don't work off the snapshots because the texture hacks tell the game to load the replacement textures off the SD card before the game loads, when you load the snapshots the game has already loaded up the normal texture files off the disk thus the snapshot telling the game to load the files from the SD card will cause a freeze since the normal files have already been loaded from the disk

Is it possible to use the hitbox mod with the snapshot method? Whenever I try to load it, my wii freezes.

Ah, I see the load and execute codes have been merged. I'll have to update my guide again.

Thanks for the thanks in the OP

EDIT: i'm retesting right now, but it seems the load and execute for ntsc-usa doesnt work

Update: yep, it definitely doesnt work. Ive got textures and load+execute on the gct, and textures are working fine

Update2: hack v1 works, hack v2 doesnt. and whats the point of using th ecombined code if it's longer than the separate ones?

I can't get the snapshot codes working :(

This is what I do:

- Make a GCT with Code Manager that contains only the code "Load & Execute Codes from Snapshot v2".

-Copy this GCT to X:\codes\RSBE01.gct

-Make another GCT file that contains CSS v3 code and all Brawl+ v3.3B codeset.
Converting to .bin using Brawl+ tweaker.

-Copy the bin "al_01012000.bin" to X:\private\...\RSBE\al

-Loading the Snapshot code with Gecko OS

-Go to album and view the image.

-The CSS and Brawl+ codes doesn't work.

I made a request to PW to make a code to load a gct file form startup.
Alright, it's done. I decided that it was easier to upload the file from

the SD Loaders initial directory instead of going through the trouble to

manually modify it and have the possibility of errors. So the .gct file

(named RSBE01.gct) will be in Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf. Currently it doesn't

work when used with the File Replacement code due to some of their

operations colliding on startup. (They'll probably work if you apply it via

the new .gct file)

As requested, the file gets loaded on startup to 0x80570000.

Code:
gct Loader:
20BDE868 805A8080
285A8584 00FF0000
045A83D0 00000009
045A8408 80570000
025A832C 00410000
065A832B 00000010
52534245 30312E67
63740000 00000000
005A8584 00000001
E0000000 80008000

Use with Dynamic SD Loader Code.
Also, When you're hooking the codes, be sure to place a disclaimer that

says that it may not work if you're using an older version of Gecko OS... I

rehooked it myself a few times for testing and I noticed that the code that

needed to be changed was different on the older versions of Gecko OS.
Even though I'm a hacker I had no part in the making of this code, I just requested it.

Code:
Dynamic SD Loader v1.1 [Phantom Wings]

No need to encode the gct anymore and the File Replacement code works fine.

Edit: There are some codes that don't work when this method is used that because memory location are being shifted around. Most of them us the same address (and are by PW and Y.S.) to fix thous replace this line (should be the first or second line)

Just put a gct in E:\Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\ with another gct that has all the coded in that post in order in E:\codes\. It's like the snapshot method only loaded at start up and doesn't need to be encoded. The "File Replacement" code needs to be in the second gct (the one in E:\Private\Wii\App\RSBE\pf\) else it will conflict with the code loader.
