Fo Sho 2
BackgroundBack on November 11th, 2006 Fo Sho 1 had an attendance of 61 people. Approximately 55 people were from Wichita, and the other 7 were comprised of Out-of-Stater’s from Oklahoma. Oklahoma took home the crown, as they placed 1st & 2nd in both Singles and Doubles.
Now at Fo Sho 2, we hope to break attendance well into the 80’s, as more Out-of-Stater’s will be attending, and the competition much fiercer this time around. We will be expecting the best from KC/MO, NEB, and OK to show up to rep their states.
With many Out-of-staters’ showing up, we expect more along our borders to show up. I’d hope to see some of TX best show up and even more states around the mid-west. With MLG’s regrettable decision to drop Smash from their rosters, these tournaments are needed more than ever to help circulate the Melee scene.

Tournament Info

·Normal matches are best 2 out of 3. Finals are best 3 out of 5.
·In the Final Matches, if the players have played each other before, then the score from the previous encounter carries over.
When first starting off, each player/team may choose to ban 1 stage before starting the match. The 1st stage will be selected at random unless the players agree on a stage. After the 1st match the loser gets to pick the next stage, then the winner may change their character if they wish, then the loser may change their character if they wish. Same goes for the next matches.
1v1 and 2v2 will use Round Robin brackets generated by location/crew. RR bracket results will then be used to seed for the actual Tournament Bracket.
Dave’s Stupid Rule is in effect
Meaning no stage may be used twice in a set. Be it random or chosen.

You MUST bring your own controller
Please conduct yourself in the appropriate manner.
Vandalism or misconduct will result in forfeit of the tournament with no refund and/or possible legal action. (Though it shouldn’t happen)
This is a one day tournament so housing is not necessary unless Oos’er want a good nights sleep before heading back home the next day. If you need housing let me know.
At the same time of Fo Sho 2, our affiliates will be having tournaments of their own right next door! So fellow smashers, if you have friends who like to play games but not particularly smash, bring them along for competitive play in…
