WHAT HAPPENED
Hey guys, I'm gonna explain everything and anything I can about what happened today and how things ended up. From my understanding, here is what happened.
The original venue provided by Lie did not have a working bathroom, which is why I think the decision was made to change to the other house as a venue. The problem was, Lie never actually got his parents approval to have the tournament there, or anywhere, in fact, Lie never told anyone about the tournament apparently. Once his Dad found out that there were 40 video game players at his house he promptly decided to call the cops to escort everyone out. Luckily, Chu was able to tell everyone to get out before the cops got there. Before we left, a guy by the name of Dan told us we could use an Internet/LAN cafe in Odenton, MD about 10 miles from where we were. Dan was one of the tournament's saviors. We quickly piled into our cars, and people without rides were able to ride with Chu and Me and Lukky, thankfully. Just as Chu was leaving Lie's Dad and the police arrived, so we got out just in time.
Once Chu told everyone we had to leave, Lie was no where to be found- in fact, he was hiding, YES, HIDING, on the third floor from everyone. No apologies. No attempt to fix the problem. Just cowarding upstairs. More on this later.
Everyone arrived at the new venue at about 1:30pm or so. Once we all got there we were able to start teams up. I made the brackets and ran them. The LAN Center was suitable for the tourney and the guy's name is Zigs. More on him later as well. We were able to finish doubles by 4:30 and almost all of singles by 7pm. At 7pm, the venue closed. So we went to DK Smash's House to finish the last 4 matches.
THIS WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT A LOT OF HELP.
I'd like to personally thank everyone that helped with the tourney, there are a lot of people that greatly contributed to the event and without them this day would have failed miserably. So, let me take a minute to thank them all myself.
Dan/Zig- Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much for pulling us out of a jam. You guys are awesome and I appreciate your help today. I would be happy to host another event at your venue sometime soon. Without you guys, this wouldn't have worked.
JCaesar- Without your TV's, this tourney would have failed. Thank you so much for your contribution.
Lobos/Lukky/Lil'B/- Without your wii's, we wouldnt' have finished.
Cross Jeremiah- Thank you for all your help and hard work. You did an amazing job with the camera and tv and the setups. You're an awesome dude.
Chu Dat- thanks for bringing everyone together.
WHAT TO DO ABOUT LIE/FALCO03
Honestly, this was pitiful and messed up the entire day because you couldn't check with your parents first. You are absolutely awful at running tournaments and should never do it again. Sure, you can talk trash on the boards easily, but when it came to real life, you hid in your room like a coward. You couldn't even apologize for the situation! If you had come down and apologized and faced the music I would've had a lot more respect for you. But instead of admitting your mistake you failed at life miserably. If you continue this attitude in your way of life you will find yourself in for a rough journey in life.
For the rest of 2009, ANY EVENT THAT TANTALUS IS THE TO FOR will not permit Lie to be entered in the brackets. I will not ban him from any event per se, but if I am the TO, I will not allow Lie to compete in the tournament. He needs to man up.
Edit: I'm sure you (lie) will have plenty of poorly written and gramatical failures of sentences to try and refute this, but not only will the arguement not phase me, but i'll get a kick out of it, should you choose to reply. If you get the urge to talk a bunch of trash again, you should instead ram your forehead into a wall, because they are both about as equally useful. Just learn to face the music when you make a mistake and all these things will go away.
NOW, ABOUT THOSE MATCHES
So we had some exciting matches today- Meep won but the top 3 split the prize in singles. Meep 6-1'd Atomsk in Grand Finals and 3-1'd Chu by using IC's chain grabs. This will be greatly debated in future tourneys no doubt. No one could even hold a candle to meep by fighting regular. Candy is the only person I've seen do it so far.
Slikvik beat Neo (Sheik)
Neo beat Candy (with sheik i believe)
Chu lost to Atomsk in winners finals
Chu used metaknight against meep (took a game)
Atomsk used Toon Link, Lucas, Metaknight, and Dedede against Meep, all which didn't matter once he got grabbed.
Anyways, anyone Meep grabbed lost! Meep played really smart and good today and won the tourney. But I can understand why people might be upset about losing.

Poyo- make a new account. Then make fun of KevinM, that was hilarious and I want to hear more. But seriously though, you need to step it up attitude wise. I get upset when you make fun of random people that you beat right to their faces and have no respect for them. Doing this will discourage people from coming to tournaments and that's not what we are about. We are about having fun and getting better. Remember the cooters motto: "Be better", no jones poyo, don't give up against me.
Chu- I should've had you??? Don't play offensive against R.O.B., I guess you know that for the future haha
Atomsk- I totally have so much respect for you now. Thanks for the encouragement to get the tourney done by 7. You are an amazing player and I appreciate your brutal honesty this week. You motivated me to really try to do my best this weekend and I put everything on the line trying to beat Chu and Kadaj.
Kadaj- Nice riding with you, also, good stuff teams friendlies at DK's.

CONCLUSION
Ultimately, thanks to EVERYONE for pulling together and making this happen today. I appreciate everyone's cooperation with the tournament and bearing with us as we moved stuff around. Thanks for all your support, days like today are days the community shines and I'm glad I was a part of it.
