Directions:
Public Transport: Head to Guy-Concordia Metro. If you exit via St-Mathieu, walk straight forward down St-Mathieu to Rue Sainte-Catherine. If you exit via Guy, turn left and walk down Guy to Rue Sainte-Catherine. From there, cross St. Catherine and turn right. Walk straight until you reach NetChamp on your left (WARNING: It may be difficult to spot! There is a big blue unlit vertical sign on the building that says "INTERNET" over the entrance).

Parking may be difficult to find cheaply nearby, I recommend making prior plans to find a spot for the car and walking to the location or something.

Note that this is the evening of Nuit Blanche, which means the metro is open all night, so you can stay at NetChamp until 3 am and party all night long afterwards!

Prices:
$10 Individual Venue Fee (mandatory)
$10 Singles
$15 Doubles ($7.50/person)
$5 Side Events (time permitting)

Prices apply to both Melee and Brawl+.

Rules:

General Rules:
  • Bring your own controller. The tournament staff will not support extra controllers.
  • Any controller type is allowed.
  • Tournament matches take priority. If a setup needs to be used for tournament purposes you must cease whatever you're doing on that setup immediately.
  • Tournament matches must be met in a timely fashion. If you take too long to prepare for a match you may be disqualified at the discretion of the tournament organizer. If you feel you need time between sets, let the TO know lest you reap the consequences!
  • Please have good hygiene.
  • Do not cause any damage at the venue, you will be held accountable.
  • No littering, garbage cans are there for a reason!
  • If the tournament staff needs to make any announcements, please stop what you're doing and listen.
  • Failure to comply with these rules may result in ejection of the tournament with no refund.

Melee:

Additional Rules:
  • Winner's, Loser's, and Grand finals sets will be best of 5.
  • Pause will be set to OFF for teams

Brawl+:

The build to be used will be Near Gold.

Additional Rules:
  • Winner's, Loser's, and Grand finals sets will be best of 5.
  • If controls have not been set properly upon entering a match, the match must be quit immediately (within 10 seconds); otherwise, the match must be played out in its entirety. Unless both parties agree to restart the match, failure to comply will result in a forfeit of the current game being played.
  • Music Swap Hacks are allowed.
  • Texture hacks are NOT allowed, except for those within the competitive standard texture pack. Please back them up before the tournament.
  • Singles: Controller ports are to be determined through a Rock-Paper-Scissors best of 3.
  • Teams: Controller ports are to be assigned in a 1221 fashion, and are to be determined through a Rock-Paper-Scissors best of 3.
  • If a match is ended with a suicide move (Bowser Claw, Ganon grip ****, etc.), the initiator of the move will win the match (unless the person broke free prior to the match ending).

4:00 PM-8:00 PM: Melee Pools Round 1 and Brawl+ Doubles
8:00 PM-9:00 PM: Supper break
9:00 PM-10:30 PM: Melee Pools Round 2* and Brawl+ Finals
10:30 PM-12:00 AM: Melee Bracket
12:00 AM-2:00 AM: Side events/Crew battles/Friendlies
2:00 AM-3:00 AM: Clean up/GTFO

*Depending on attendance, a second round of pools may be skipped entirely.

joel i can help out with whatever you need at the tourney, i can bring my laptop for tio or recording if needed.

I can bring like 2 tvs, possibly 3 if needed o.o

zaf, those TVs will probably help, and the laptop will too if you can get a recording setup with that. Otherwise it's not necessarily needed, Jin has tio already.

interesting... my attendance to this tourney will depend on tonight's performance at the weeklies, since I haven't played that many strong players before. If I manage to win a match tonight, you can count me in. If I get back to back 3stocked like against PKM last time, I might reconsider though. So It's a probably, tbc tonight.

edit: Melee, of course.
