I would be down for switching the dates of the Melee and Brawl tourney. What I think would make everyone happy is to just alternate Melee and Brawl tourneys one after the other.

For Brawl, we need to reconsider our stage choices...there have been a few tournaments so far, and I think we're kinda getting an idea of what certain stages are capable of.

Stages to put out there for consideration...

Lylat - Neutral or CP?
Luigi's Mansion - banned?
Rainbow Cruise - banned?
Pictochat - unbanned?
Distant planet - unbanned?
Jungle Japes - unbanned?
Norfair - unbanned?

post any other ideas you think, or discuss these. I'm just going on what I've heard people say.

Rainbow Cruise = CP
Pictochat = CP
Distant Planet = CP

Lylat is a ridiculous stage that should be CP. Small characters and those with bad recovery are at a really bad disadvantage there.

However after playing on pokemon stadium 1 a lot I think it's still neutral. Now that people know to not get stuck under the ledge and to avoid the windmill there doesn't really seem to be anything bad enough for it to be a CP.

Rainbow cruise should probably be banned because of the retardedly gay falling blocks and characters with tether recovery don't stand a chance at all there.

just copy the stage list for my tourny

i garuntee! there will be 0 complaints at the actual day of the tourny of stupid stage deaths, GARUNTEE!

One point i'd like to make, lylat should be counterpick, its gay edges, secondly, why should it be random if EVERY TIME it gets randomed, u hear one of the people playing groan, if not both, or someone in the audience....

the majority of the people out there HATE that stage as a nuetral, just puttin it out there

i think Lylat should be CP. its clearly too gay to be considered a neutral. PK Stadium 1 seems like a nice neutral replacement though.

Luigi's mansion I really dont care about getting banned or staying CP

the others on that list should be banned, if not already. or at least thats what i think

thats what i originally thought, makin PS nuetral, but there's really no point, considering its borderline ban anyway.

4 neutrals is plenty, and they're all completley fair, theres no debate about that, so keep it simple.

Personally I think there should be no music at all, I think it helps some people play better, especially for those people who play Snake and wonder where did those bombs come from.

Hmmm, Luigi's mansion banned. I'm tired of having to break down the walls to keep people from hiding, I basically just make it another Final Destination in a matter of seconds.

Lylat: I think neutral but then again I seem to be the only one that doesn't absolutly hate that level for some reason.

Rainbow Cruise: Epic ban, if you have that you might as well have all the other "scrolling" levels, like the new DK level that just keeps going up.

Pictochat: big characters get owned by the spikes. ban?

Distant Planet: CP, but I'll ban it myself cause I have the trampoline thing in the middle.

Jungle Japes: CP, I kinda like it

Norfair: CP, this is an Olimar's dream. no edge hogging :laugh:

Lylat = CP
It moves, and has stupid edges.

Pictochat = Banned
Random stage changes that may or may not own the players, randomly.

Japes = Banned
Falco CG into water spike is GG.

Rainbow Cruise = CP
...It's exactly the same as in Melee...Only gay part is a few characters can infinite while on the ship...In one corner...For a few seconds...

Lylat - Counter pick. It is too much cheap to be a neutral.

Luigi's Mansion - CP. It keeps a Pit and Pikachu from being too campy. If I play Dani/chaz in doubles, believe I would take them to Luigi's Mansion just because that Pit would be nothing there. And that is how it should be. A counter pick it is!

Rainbow Cruise - Banned. I think this stage is terrible for anything. When you have to worry about the stage MORE than worrying about your opponent is too much hazard and should be banned. Plus, the stage can make for a total lack of action.

Pictochat - Banned.

Distant planet - Banned.

Jungle Japes - Banned. This stage is **** for certain characters.

Norfair - Counter pick. There is no reason this stage cannot be a counter pick if Halbred and such can be counter picks. I say make this a counter pick.

if its singles norfair would be a counterpick. its easier to avoid the incoming lava from the back. its easier for me since all i have to do is turn into a stone with kirby and let it pass. :chuckle:

but seriously guys, when i faced people, they always picked the neutral stages as their second choice. lets mix things up a bit this time around.
