The venue is really nice, lots of large tvs. Also since this looks like it will be on the smaller scale tournaments you should be able to get lots of friendlies and advice from more experienced people.

I would recommend reading the guide to new players located in Brawl General discussion (or is it tactical...).

Umm...video capture equiptment if you own it.

Your wii if you plan to show up early so you have a shot at $5 off venue.

Gum if you get nervous during matches.
Candy to keep your energy up (works better imo then energy drinks but that could work to)
