I think Stalker is exactly what CoD needed. The CoD community needed to learn to be less aggressive anyways. I kinda get tired of watching bad kids walk into bullets and letting the other team get killstreaks.

It messes up hit detection so00oo0oo0o0o much.

Sometimes it'll throw my aim off, but for the most part I survive way longer with stalker on.

wut? stalker increases aggressive play and I don't have any problem when it comes to the hit detection. I've used Stalker on all of my classes (riot shield classes) so I'm extremely used to it, it messes me up when I don't use stalker now

I find Stalker great for being aggressive, and I even like Marksman for being aggressive because it lets me quickly check an area for snipers or people hanging on the outskirts of the map, and then I can just rush through a wide open area real quick to flank.

but doesn't Stalker promotes aggressivity?

I know I use it because I grew tried of having to be careful about claymores, I.M.S and betties

Stalker itself doesn't promote aggressiveness.

If you have stalker on, you're more prone to stay aimed down sights because of the mobility. Aggression would be running at the opponents, getting close, and hip firing or aiming with Quickdraw/Steady Aim. While moving faster while aiming is more aggressive than moving around the map without Stalker, it doesn't mean it promotes aggression in general. If it did, people wouldn't be given the incentive to walk around corners slowly while aiming rather than running through.

Stalker gives you the ability to be aggressive for that reason exactly. It gives you the ability to actually, you know, move around while aiming. Just because you're ADS doesn't mean you're not being aggressive. It just makes it so that when you are chasing people down around corners, you don't have to sprint, stop sprinting, pull up your gun, ADS, then shoot, and can instead just aim and shoot.

Without Stalker, people wouldn't actually move around corners as often, lol.

Stalker is even better with a Scuf.

I've won so many gunfights because I can get that extra mobility while ADS with stalker as well as jump/aim simultaneously while shooting. It's actually kind of ridiculous and sometimes I feel bad for the people I kill..........

But then I get over it.

Mobility makes/breaks classes. It's why LMGs are bad; you can't go anywhere with them.

At least, not without Speed, which is what I'd run on them if there weren't LAZ0R BEAM POWER.

Same thing applies with Sniper Rifles. I used to do significantly better with the L18 because you could actually run with it as opposed to the Barrett, which had piss poor movement. But then I got Speed and I was happy.

Riot shield/jav class for worst mobility ever.

It's why I use a TI on the class so I'm not always respawning on the opposite side of the from the HQ since that's all I play

Stalker is Sitrep Pro's only competition.

Update:

Power's still out down here in Dundalk, and it looks like we may not be back until the end of the week.

It's actually a relatively easy fix. A distribution wire got knocked out by the storm. All we need is a crew to get out here. Until then, literally my whole street has no power.

But while I'm at a place with power, I figured I'd do a perk tier list. This list assumes that all perks are pro.

Tier 1

Top:

Recon
SoH
Blind Eye
ExCon
Scav

Tier 2

As much as I hate it... Assassin
Quickdraw
Hardline
Blast Shield
Overkill

Tier 3

Sitrep
Stalker
Steady Aim
Dead Silence
Marksman

Never tried messing around with speed on anything, especially the Barrett. Since I can't test it for myself right now, is the running speed of Barrett with Speed proficiency identical to L18/MSR (standalone)? If so, I would use it a lot more. Same to the AS50.:applejack:

I think Quickdraw is better than Assassin, personally. Other than that, I have no gripe with the list, Snack.

Assassin > all.

Assassin isn't as powerful as it was before now that sitrep counters dead silence, but it's still almost mandatory to have it on.

If you try to play this game solo without assassin, you're going to have one hell of a time. I don't use assassin that much when I play with you guys because for the most part, we shoot down UAVs and people just generally don't get a whole lot of killstreaks. However, if you play solo, you'll immediately recognize how how vital it is.

On the rare occasion that I do play solo, here's my class.

SoH
Assasin
Dead Silence

ACR Silenced-Focus OR
MP7 Silenced/RF

And then I either run Specialist with this:

Sitrep
Stalker
Dead Silence

or vests

But most of the time it's the Specialist

I only use assassin on 1 of my 5 classes I think, and I play solo a lot (or used to). People get more arrogant when you're on their radar, so I just try to play safer and pick off people running to find me whenever it's up. Assassin is still tier 1 though.

I use Quickdraw on all of my classes (not just sniping classes, either). I feel a lot safer with a faster deployment or ADS time (unless it's Hardcore, SnD, or both; then I just pray that a UAV doesn't go up when I'm not running Specialist).
That, and I just don't like Assassin, for more reasons than I can enumerate.:applejack:

The problem with this is it sort of depends on game type. My lists:

[COLLAPSE=SnD]Tier 1:

Recon
ExCon
SoH
Blind Eye (I never use Blind Eye... ever. lol)
Scav (When will they learn that having extra mags at the start defeats the whole purpose of picking up extra ammo from enemies? At least let me pick up equipment...)

Tier 2:

Quickdraw
Assassin (I have a QD and Assassin version of all of my classes. I use QD until I hear a UAV go up and then just switch. Usually you can wait it out if they call it in late.)
Blast Shield
Overkill
Hardline

Tier 3:

SitRep (dumbest perk in the game now that it counters DS; literally ruins half of the games in SnD now because I just get sound*****d when I'm using a perk deadicated to making me silent...)
Dead Silence (only this high because kids haven't unlocked SitRep Pro yet and/or don't have headsets)
Marksman/Stalker (map/class dependent; Marksman is so good for long LoS while Stalker is beast for the close quarters rushing)
Steady Aim[/COLLAPSE]

I really don't think that there is a clear winner between Marksman, Stalker, and Steady Aim considering that all of the perks are situational.

Actually, that goes for almost all of the perks. If you think about it, Sleight of Hand is almost useless. Reloading fast is cool and all, but I rarely find myself in situations where reloading faster saves me, especially considering how fast every gun kills you anyways. The fast switch is situational, too, unless you're riot shielding.

When you look at the perks in general, I don't think it is possible to make a legitimate tier list because there is no defining factor that makes any perk absolutely better than all others.

You added me right.....? I can't remember for some reason.

I deleted a lot of people from my list not too long ago. Pretty much just people I don't play with regularly.

My GT is FawxMcCloud for anyone who wants to add me.

I played Mercenary for the first time today, since every other game type I popped into was a bunch of full-party flamers.

I have never played with worse teammates. Ever. Almost hilarious. Not quite though, the meter is still perched on the 'pitiful' end of the scale.

Trust me, fellas. I've missed playing with you all as well.

BGE just doesn't wanna fix a downed wire, no matter how simple it is.

Edit:

@Bones:

I can agree with that. Thing is, I don't play a lot of SnD anymore because I'm complete *** at it. My tier list is mostly for respawn gametypes.

@Wretched:

I rank SoH so high because it helps me win gunfights. The faster swap time for guns is incredible.

Honestly, I only found ExCon useful when I dabbled in GB. I think the allowed perks were ExCon, SoH, and Scav.

Scav is useless, so you chose:

ExCon for map control

or

SoH for help with gunfights

Seeing the veggies that play Pubs, ExCon isn't the most useful thing in the world. You don't really need to worry about map control against most kids.

No. The maps in this game are atrocious and we never play them anyways.

It's a complete waste of money and if I could go back in time and get my $50 for elite back, I would.

Soooo when are they going to buff the M16 and MP5?
They don't buff weak guns. They nerf good guns.

The only reason they even admit to patching things like LMGs and Shotguns is because the entire categories themselves were/are severely underpowered and underused.
