I hate in MW2 when the team I'm paired with pracrical feeds the enemy team killstreaks out the ***. Then they have the negligence to not even run anti-air support launchers, so I have to do it while they run into enemies carelessly. It's like playing with lemmings.:applejack:

I still love Black Ops, but, as with any game online, there are players and occurrences that push me to give it a break. I'm still debating whether or not I should get MW1.

OMG this game pisses me off sometimes... The worst part is i can't tell if I'm:
A. Unlucky
B. Having my dreams **** on by XBL
C. Actually just bad

I almost broke my hand punching my seat. Why can't I just live near Melee players? I've literally never been upset with that game in the entire 10 years I've been playing it. It only takes me 10 minutes of CoD or Halo to have some BS make me rage.

The thing about CoD is that the most astoundingly horrifying bad luck mixed with players that have no boundaries creates the worst scenarios imaginable. Looking back, I can list all of the horrible things that have happened in every CoD that I have played.

CoD4 - Shipment, Wetworks, hackers, martyrdom
MW2 - OMADCNT (Oh, mad ****), death streaks, commando, overpowered kill streaks, stackable kill streaks, derail, wasteland, worst community
BlackOps - Overcentralized perk system, Wanted Pro/terrible host/lag, FAMAS, terrible spawns, crisis, terrible knife mechanics
MW3 - Akimbo FMG9s, Type95, MORE DEATHSTREAKS THAT ARE EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE, multiple terrible maps, even worse spawns, easy sniping, Blind-eye/Assassin/Dead Silence combo

The worst thing about all of these CoDs is that the players are never pleasant and they do the silliest things to win. People sit in corners for entire games in every single one of those titles. These games have been played massively, abused, exploited, and overall, they've been perverted from what they were intended to be and made into a giant pile of 5 year olds screaming at eachother, stoners who don't really smoke, people who think they're badasses, 3l173quickscopez, and the 1% of people who I'd actually like to play with.

Everything you've listed is what I hate about CoD.

It's also why I stopped caring. I can sit down and just play (but only with a group, really. That, or mute everyone else), if I just stop caring. Because that's all it is: A game. When I realized this, I started having more fun, and enjoyed the game a lot more. I started using guns I like (Mk14, M4, Mk46), playstyles I like (Cowboy Shield Bop), and stopped caring how many times I died, if I won or lost.

But what can you do?

^-------This. Why people care so much about their W/L or K/D is beyond me.

Everybody was so happy go lucky about this game a week or so ago too.

Oh and ODIN if you make some room on your friends list we should run some shenanigans on this game sometime. And future halo shenanigans as well.

Hell yeah.

I'll look at clearing out my list again soon, next time I'm on. I'll most likely be on another Diablo 3 kick again tonight. That, or Dawnguard (Skyrim). We'll see.

But I do miss me some Halo.

I don't think I've been placed on a winning team all night.

It actually blows my mind how bad people are at this game.

Like, I think the game WANTS me to lose. This can't actually be possible.

I keep saying the same thing. HOW ARE PEOPLE BAD AT THIS GAME? I'm not even joking. This game is played by so many people because it's so easy. You look at the radar for red dots, place yourself accordingly on the map to kill the guy, and you win. Why is this difficult for so many people?

It makes me wonder what the global gaming community would be like if everyone played Melee. I can't imagine someone so bad at CoD trying to play Melee. Such a ridiculous % of the community would surely be incapable of even getting down the simplest tech skill let alone reaching a level of understanding of how to win. Kind of scary.

I have like, 0 tech skill, lol. I hope that doesn't make me a scary person in Melee.

My wife has 0 tech skill either. She could Power Shield, and L-cancel (I think), but she never did any wave dashes or any other "flashy" stuff. She was just a smart player, who figured out what you would do next before you did it.

I still have trouble beating her.

Oh, and she was a Zelda player.

I think having no Tech skill isn't a bad thing, but really dependent on your character choice and playstyle.

Like me? I play(ed) Ganondorf. As one of (if not the) slowest characters in the game, I had to up my Tech game.

Just my opinion.

so for like the first time since the game came out I made an actual gun try hard class to see how well I'd do instead of going around riot shielding the whole time. I'm consistently getting 2.4-3.3 k/ds with it, but we always end up getting wrecked (headquarters like 320-0) and then I decide to pull out my riot shield classes and we always make comebacks and wins.

the lesson here is that the riot shield is better than the acr kids.

Come on kids, even I can do all this once in a while.

I just played yesterday once more. I'm not gonna use guns again, I might as well stick to riot shield.

Still, I just got another secondary auto weapon. Gonna have to use it until I get akimbo.

I haven't heard people rage yet, so that pbviously means I need to switch to better perks.

Sleight of Hand Pro - Best perk to stick with in order to swap weapons in the nick of time and potentially saves me from premature death (throwing knives are faster to throw, thus giving me the chance of not getting killed quick enough).

Quickdraw Pro - Helps too
Blast Sheild - Not really sure
Hardline - Hardly worth it, but still...

I don't know what to pick between Stalker or Steady Aim....

Quickdraw Pro increases the deployment/execution speed of lethals and tactical grenades and equipment, not SoH.:applejack:

I don't know about Blast Shield, but I like its pro version better. I like running Hardline Pro on Specialist, as my last perk to acquire before the All Perks bonus.

If you have Stalker Pro, run that on your class rather than Steady Aim. Since you have a Riot Shield with akimbo weapons and SoH Pro (I'm presuming), it'd benefit you more to get more time for escaping explosives activated by motion (I.M.S, Claymore, etc.).

what a noob, using an actual gun on a riot shield class
Wait...

What kind of gun?

Because "Cowboy Shield Bop" is all about the fast guns.

RiotShield @Speed
Magnums(either) or Mp9 (either options Akimbo)
C4 with stuns
-Sleight of Hand
-Quickdraw
-Steady Aim

Support: Uav/Vest
Specialist:DeadSilence/Assassin/Hardline

I love me some Cowboy Shield Bop.

pistols aren't as bad since they're...bad, but I obv use javelin on mine.

Sleight of Hand pro for getting Javelin out faster and stuff
quickdraw pro to throw c4 fast and aim with the javelin faster
stalker pro so I can move while aimed in with the javelin fast, also helps against IMS and stuff

I usually use specialist too running hardline, blast shield, recon.

edit: and I use TIs cuz they're gay as **** and I play HQ a lot. They help with rapid javelin bombardments on HQs a lot, if I play search or domination or something then I'd probably use stun.

Also if I play with a bunch of try hards on the other team where their whole team is running support stealth bomber/emp then I'll switch to my riot shield class with same thing.

My Riot Shield Class goes:

Riot Shield w/ Speed.
Akimbo FMGs

SoH
Hardline (I run Support UAV for days)
Steady Aim

It's funny cuz people stop shooting at me for a second and then they get gunned down. :awesome:

I didn't know Stalker affected Javelin "sights". Stalker Pro is a good choice. But that's kinda why I prefer SitRep. The way I play, I have no need for Stalker (since I'm not ADSing).

Akimbo FMGs
:glare:

Yup. That's the best. :awesome:

Fighting anyone with the Scar is tricky though, since they can do a super stupid crazy fast reload cancel.

I don't even understand how you people use riot shields. Half of my beat down attempts are misses, followed by me getting knifed, and the other half don't even happen because I die first.

The entire purpose of the Riot Shield is to use it to block bullets and to confuse the opponent. Then you can kill them with shenanigans.

Riot shielding are prefect with assists, distractions and etc.

Throwing knives or C4 (if you prefer kill them from longer distances) for insta-kill.
When using a riot shield, you must always have SoHP. Always.
I strongly agree with people using mp9s or the first gun (still, mp9 is the same as the first, but with with more damage).

You can only use it though when the opponent is:
Getting Away
Reloading
Anything else that will you give an open spot for killing.

Knife is more dependable for close combat.

I know the riot shield maxes out on lv31, but I'm still on lv10 and I can't proceed to the next one.
Also, for riot shield, never use melee, just stick with speed.

Guns on riot shield classes are for noobs

never use speed stick with melee. you can melee cancel in this game, but it messes with what direction you're looking after.

Turn sensitivity up for riot shield helps a lot, I've always played on default (2) until this game because the riot shields were so bad and glitchy after you hit them, you have to be able to turn to them fast enough after you hit/attempt to hit them, a lot of the times you just have to look at what direction they're going in initially and just swing in that direction. Crouching > hit with riot shield seems to have the most consistent results as far as hitting and facing opponent after the hit, dash > hitting always seems to miss or lets the opponent get behind you even if you do hit them if they go at an angle, if they go at an angle you just have to hit where they're going to be, not where they're currently at.

Only time you'll ever catch me with a Riot Shield is when I acquire one while running around, if I find it keen choice or I'm in the mood. I try to refrain from melee attacking with that thing.

As for dealing with it, I usually don't. Unless I know there's a potential kill on more than the one player, I don't waste my C4 pack on 'em. I manage to psych them out sometimes and bring them to facilitate their own death, but not enough for me to be comfortable trying it a lot.:applejack:

This still goes with close combat. It's well thought, but I don't see why you think guns on riot sheild classes are for noobs when it is good enough to help me and my teammates. I'm not gonna be the guy chasing after people like I'm Michael Myers with a butcher knife. And if people would do things like that, then they're one step away from getting stickied with Semtex.

p1 lets do 2v2 faceoff with you using riotshield and me running around murdering people
ya, okay. Faceoff with the riot shield class I use it pretty good cuz people are pretty stupid. I've played ~10 matches in 1v1 face off and won them all except one I tied.

ya obviously guns on a riot shield class is really good, but you're not a true riot shielder if you're using anything other than a launcher/pistol as a secondary.

such noobs.
