You don't need to take screenshots to see that the bubbles are the right size and positioned correctly, you have to play as the character and make sure the attacks actually hit where the graphics say they do. I don't think there's any point in taking screenshots unless you are going to do it right which would take significantly longer than 5 minutes. And again, I don't want to be in charge of the thread that hosts these screenshots.

Taking screenshots is a b**** because you have to be near frame perfect. Also you have to get several pics to show the relative size and not just OMGROFLMAO THAT'S A HUGE HITBOX ON GANON'S GRAB!!!

Great, since the latest update of Brawl+, this version of Lucario isn't even fit for Brawl+ anymore.

Oh well. I'll downgrade him eventually then.

Anyways, updated with all invincibility frames, and for the heck of it I changed the invincibility frames back to regular brawl version as well. I don't know what to call this anymore. :\

So is he vBrawl or Brawl+?

I like that idea. Does it blink or does the character become a solid colour? I'd go with solid.
Anyone else have opinions?

When a graphic is attached to a bone it scales with the bone. When a collision bubble is attached to a bone it is unaffected by the bone's scale. I've come up with a sort of solution but it's really tedious so I'm hoping someone comes up with a better solution. Go to the end of this thread to see more about it.

Articles are projectiles or things not attached to the body. So nothing for PK fire/flash, thunder (ball), PSI magnet (absorption). I'll get around to adding that in a bit.

Just thought I should comment that the Kirby .pac has errors due to the scaling. This isn't unexpected due to how much Kirby scales, but you should probably note that in the archive.

EDIT: So does Dedede, and probably everybody who scales except for Ness (once he's finished).

Nah, I messed with different bones until I got the right hitbubble size for DeDeDe's attacks. :V Unless I did that wrong. :x

Oh, okay. I just noticed that the front/last part of utilt has a bit of area where it doesn't actually hit, is all.

I bumped this to point somthing out. If you are having issues with hitboxes due to obscene scaling(Yoshi's tail is an example), you have to use BrawlBox to open the characters motion file.
It should be FitCharacterMotionEtc.
Then chack the scaling of the bones and/or body parts that contain the hitbox and set the keyframes all to 1. That should solve the problem.

When I get the chance, I'll include the pac and the motion file as an example of what I mean.

and yes, kirby's dash grab does have a hitbox behind him for no ****ing reason at all - i actually managed to grab someone with it

and you missed the getup attacks (both up and down), the ledge attacks, the trip attack, and his dair landing hitbox

and fffffffff- the rising hitbox of the up-b is attached to another article, i just figured that out now :<

vBrawl Sonic hitbubbles. Down-taunt activates, up-taunt deactivates.

The only problem is I didn't do the "if bit is set" for the specials, so hitbubbles are always there regardless of whether you hit down-taunt or not.

If you're going to make a video, download the common3_en.pac in the OP. Pick a colour in put it in pf > system on your SD. Make sure you name it "common3.pac" or it won't work. It's just better. I'd also recommend downloading the cusom temple stage in the OP. pick a colour, put it in pf > stage > melee on the SD.

I tried asking people about that before and everything led to dead ends. I looked at DK's hitbubbles for down b in Melee and i can only guess that it should look like that but the parameters show all 4 hitbubbles in the same spot. The way the hitbubbles interact wih platforms and such also really complicates everything.

Somebody please tell me that Wof's hitboxes in this video have not been corrected yet for bone size mods...

They're all pretty stupid, imo, and this is coming from someone who plays Melee-dorf. :p

I did the hitbubbles for Link a while ago. They're posted at the Link boards at AiB.

It was easy going because Link doesn't stretch at all.

EDIT: oh, wow, evidently you already added this to the list. You should really add character names to the list so people can search the page for a character and find it rather than relying on the character's picture; I just searched for Link and didn't see it at first.
