I think it's because you don't have any control over whether a Pokemon freezes or not.

I personally always thought of freeze clause as being like, if you freeze an opponent's Pokemon, you can't put another to sleep. It makes sense, and would be a good rule to have, I think. I know it says you can't freeze more than one, but that's dumb, simply because you can't control freeze. Sleep you can, though.

i'm fine with no item clause, and kk, smogon tier list ofc.

freeze clause is not more than one pokemon can be frozen at one time, which is stupid, because when can you control whether you freeze or not? so stupid.

I don't think there's a limit on the length of a freeze, either.

And that's why you should play on Shoddy or somewhere where freeze can be controlled rather than in-game. :3
(Unless they have a working freeze clause in-game. Haven't tried it on HG/SS yet.)

i never played shoddy. you can control when to or not to freeze? wtf i wish you could do that ingame.

i'm pretty sure if all of your pokemon get frozen it's an autoloss, hence the clause, but you can't control it and if you have one pokemon left and they have two and you only have a freezing ice move to do that's kinda ****ed if you get dq'd for accidentally freezing them both.

Freeze clause is silly since you can't control freezing, I've never actually frozen more than 1 Poke at a time in my entire competitive "career".

The general rule of thumb, however, with freeze clause is if you freeze something, you're not supposed to use another potentially freezing move until the opponents Poke has thawed.

I like my version of freeze clause. No sleep moves while another Pokemon is frozen. Because you can control it. It's dumb to say "lol u can't use ice beam any moar!"

HOBO 28 will happen on October 9th, 2010 in Houston. Like usual, we have regular doubles and regular singles for the main event and low tier 1vs1 as the side event. This HOBO is lucky enough to have some very special guests such as MikeHaze/Deva/D Disciple and they will be joining us for this hobo.

He means like on Snowman Land where you can complete the course in a ******** short time by abusing stuff. Like you reverse into the lake at a certain point instead of driving forward, and when you get pulled up you can cross the finish line and it counts as a lap. Other courses have similar exploits or shortcuts. I assume the shortcut of jumping over the railing on Rainbow Road would be fine either way.

I won't be able to make it to MLG Dallas and we can decide which glitches will be used etc. when we meet up. I say we do no glitches except for Rainbow Road. Also Extra or 150cc?

the rainbow road one is such a *****, i remember practicing that **** for hours to do it right. the snowman land one is hella gay, **** that one.

150cc is preferred, 1vs1 right? i only like extra in the second cup with the highway, totally forgot the name of all of these levels and cups, go me. we can do all cups if you want, $5 for first cup, then $3, $2, and $1.
