Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

Hey, I'm pretty sure it's too late to throw out this idea, but...
for what used to be the WHOBO...
considering we lost the $1000 Nissan contract...
Houston could hold a charity tourney beforehand? :O

Think about it...
$10-15 bucks entry fee (ALL of it saved as pot money for WHOBO)
$5 for wherever we have it (if they aren't in the christmas spirit themselves...-_-)
$5 for singles and $5 per team (pot money), and heck maybe even a low tier.
Even though I'ts kind of expensive...
And even though ppl might have already gotten their refunds for their tickets...
As long as there was a GUARANTEE that ALL of the money going to the WHOBO pot would be saved for the WHOBO pot...
If we could get a large enough crowd to come and help us...
we might have enough (or maybe even more ? :O) than what we would have gotten from the Nissan contract. :D

Well, yea. If ne1 still wanted a WHOBO to happen, that's just my $.02 on what we should do.

thats not even possible...right? there are cops gaurding the entrance too the actual con...while the registration is placed outside of the con..so u have to pass cops with your badges on inorder to ge tin the con? am i right.

Honestly, they are no match for a dead beat. The worse they can do is point in the direction of the reg desk or at worse escort you off the premises, in which case, you simply just walk back in. No harm no foul.

It will be on the 21st at my house in Beaumont. I know it's a long drive, but the list is actually getting pretty big. Last time we had 18 and it was amazing, this time i'm hoping for even more than that. I know I've been pretty rude on the boards lately, but I really would appreciate for you guys to come.

Please tell me if your gonna come or not, within the next couple of days, so I can prepare for a certain number, roughly.
