My sarcasm detection must be pretty poor now =P

Smash and Streetfighter are the main events in the console competitions, and this has almost always been the case at every major. Unless if participants agree to exclusively contribute to a pot for the minor competitions then the prizes will naturally not be large.

Info about prizes for smash is in the OP and there is already a post about how it may be split across singles, doubles and so forth.

Last reloaded we went to, we were promised all sorts of things that never happened.

Now if your not the sort of horrible person who wont go to a tourney unless theres good money involved, then by all means go ahead.
but none of us are that kind of person.

Please tell me what events were not at reloaded last year that we promised? from memory no comps were cancelled, and we ran all comps promised.

Smash competitions that are listed as minor will still be part of the smash cash prize pool which has already been indicated to the admins of those competitions. The prize money on offer is between $800 to $1000 for smash comps alone. This has been indicated elsewhere as Apollo mentioned.
Streetfighter has a separate prize pool of its own, as does FIFA.

Non smash comps listed as minor, will have prizes that are yet to be confirmed.

It doesnt really matter how much money there is for you to consider it a national.

Top Tier players from multiple states and by the sounds of it quite a lot of entrants
Is fine. :)

typical national ~60 or more entrants
60 x $30 = $1800
PLUS it's split properly
PLUS it's run properly
PLUS if more entrants, more prizemoney

What was the pot for ACL?

This isn't really a super serious tournament for Melee players anyway, I mean, it's in South Australia, the pot isn't massive and the Sydney major is just around the corner.

The thread probably shouldn't even have Melee in the title, that's more of a side event.

this will probably have a similair pot for Brawl Singles as ACL did
which is the main event of this tournament.

Melee singles tournament is still running though
And do you know what is on offer in even the side events???
