Way to jack the thread, PW. =P

This is stunning. Did you just see this thread and make a code, or have you been working on something like this? Honestly...

So... time for Brawl+ to put the custom SSS in again, now that it's fixed. :)

geez pw, i leave for a few hours and come back, and all my dreams are realized...

so, other than the removal of the menu icon at the end of the melee screen, can the data portions of the old code be copy-pasted verbatim into the new code? If so, i love you, and i have a reason to revive and update (and finish :D) my custom SSS thread. Wait... doesnt the ZWZW section have a byte count too?

Plussery guys, can we expect the return of the custom SSS into the next codeset?

Based on some reactions when I brought it up, it might MK26.

Trying the SSS codes as well as a few others now.

Edit: PW, Code Manager is telling me I need to replace stuff at XX and YY, is this the # of stages being loaded or some other number in hex?

Question, do I need 9 stages? I used the code above but it freezes when I pick one of the blank stages, is it possible it is happening because I only have 2 STGCUSTOM files and not 9?

We'd also need to get music up and running - while they do show up in the My Music menu, they seem to default onto Battlefield's music set.
So wait, what stages are you loading with this code? Are you loading the SSE .PAC's themselves? Or the hacked PAC's that are made by inserting data into versus stages?

I was under the impression that it was still loading the hacked .PAC's, but those should all still play the lone song you have assigned to Wifi Training Room.

I prefer the ASL. It meets my needs perfectly.
I hate the Hanenbow stage, so I just turned it into a new stage called The Great Maze.
The SSE stages are picked randomly, so it's like a Great Maze themed stage, from the SSE. I swapped the Hanenbow symbol and name with Brawl's. Here's the menu pic for it, along with a zip of SSP textures I've changed.

Is anyone else getting a DSI exception when they use this with Balanced Brawl?
If I had to guess, I'd guess it's related to the fact that Balanced Brawl uses a code to let the player use a button combination to select forms for Spear Pillar and Shadow Moses Island. There could be a nasty code interaction on that front.

ok, looking at the old code, the line 06407AAC 00000066 is definitely supposed to be 06407AAC 000000VV, where VV is the byte count for the last section of the code...now, im off to rewrite the SSS tutorial that i never finished...

also, pw, is this more of an 'sss code 1.2' or 'sss code 2.0'?

I use Balanced Brawl and it works perfectly for me... even the Random expanded stage select works flawlessly.

@UltiMario: that's odd... my individual Pokemon were marked as "New" when I put this code on, but it didn't have any negative effects. Are you using the Pokemon fix codes?

On my CSS, my 3 Pokemon Trainer Pokemon Icons are turned into randoms that freeze the game wehn your cursor is put on them with these codes on.

Wut D:

Edit: While the codes work (as long as I avoid the freezing Randoms when I choose my character), I'm now experiencing common freezes at the results screen, not every battle, but most of them.

Hmm, I get my warioman icon marked as "new"...

Hmm, I put in a total of 9 SSE Stages but whenever I pick one, it freezes, what am I doing wrong?

I used the code that gives you 9 blank stages in the Melee section, I also added the Stage Expansion code for the bug that has been found in stages like Shadow Moses. I named the stages STGCUSTOM1/STGCUSTOM_01 and STGCUSTOM01 but it still doesn't work.

Hey, Phantom! The random code works well, but I believe it has made all stages available on random. Spear Pillar and Mario Circuit are definitely not usually available via Random selection for me, but I just got both of 'em. Is this intentional/unavoidable?

Hmm, it doesn't work for me. The 9 new stages appear on the Melee screen (It was either 9 or 7 that appeared), and some have FD's icon and others use BF's. Selecting any results in a lock. The codes I'm using are:

Custom SSS
Stage Roster Expansion System v1.1
Enable Random Expansion Stages

I've also got 9 SSE stages in the right folder, all named STGCUSTOM1-9.

Edit: Should probably also mention that I'm using B+.

Game froze when I went to select one of the new stages, but, I could still restart the wii with the home button on the wiimote. I renamed things STGCUSTOM1 and the like and shoveed them in my melee folder.

Using BBrawl here.

Edit: Err, sorry, had STGCUSTOM1, not 01 like stated earlier.

You're both forgetting the Wifi Waiting Room module.

Wow Phantom... this is amazing! I want to see some pictures people? SO basically this makes new selectable icons? Also, what about the image on the icon and the picture to the left? Has it been found that BrawlBox can edit that? Nice job with the replay fix, this is stunning! Being able to move the stages around is EXCELLENT for Brawl+, as we can organize the screen in such way that makes sense for the competitive community such as separating neutrals, from CPs, etc. Or putting levels of a similar nature near each other. For one, PS1 and PS2 should be next to each other...

I can't wait for a character clone engine, this is awesome PW! Also, great work on your code too Dantarion, it's been a pleasure to use! :)

we could move stages around already. there was a custom SSS in an earlier build of B+, but it caused problems with some people when viewing replays, so it was removed. i believe this SSS will cause similar glitches as well, but its up to you to decide if it really matters.

also, adding previously inaccessible stages (WWR, BtT, HRC, etc.) could already be accessed through the SSS. the difference with this code is that it lets you load stages from your SD card onto existing stage spots.

Phantom Wings has modified the code so it should have no problems with replays anymore.

Also, I believe what PW has done is actually technically creating new stages, not replacing old ones. These new modules use new IDs for the stages, if I recall correctly.

right, forgot about the modules... learn something new everyday.

good to hear about the replays, though. now we actually have a legitimate SSS that can be used for B+ without any problems.

this is why I'm excited. The old code was glitchy, namely with replays, and because of this we had to remove it even though it (the SSS) looked excellent. Now we can bring it back and unless some other problem arises it's here to stay! ;)

I can't wait to see some fancy work done with this; polished looking images for the icons and level preview image to the left. That will make this stunning!

this will further differentiate Brawl+ from vBrawl.

i have seen some pics (through VietG) of images of the WWR, both selection icon and the image on the left.
looked good.

Dantarion : Would you mind double checking or someone confirming that the Summit stage hex is correct? I have all my other stages implemented correctly but for some reason Summit only picks the default one, I have it others mapped to buttons, and I tested it with about 50 stages, all worked fine but the Icicle Mountain ones to my knowledge. Very perplexing. It's late now though so I'll check it tomorrow after class I 'spose.

Thanks for this though! I didn't even look at PW code or how he pwned you, I was looking for exactly what you had on the first page and implemented my dozens of downloaded textures and like, 12 SSE stages, all are amazing and you guys are great!

Also, is anyone making a GUI for this? I think I could manage it if no one else is going to, but at this point I still haven't looked at PW stuff; is yours obsolete? (I really don't know what it is he did on this thread but based on everything else he makes I'm sure it's really good.)

I and several others still use Dant's code; I'm actually quite positive it'll stay useful as long as it isn't shown to be buggy in the future. (Which is unlikely.) I think everyone would love a GUI for this. (I'd use it.)

D: Still looking for an answer to this one. I would really be okay with Battlefield's music set, but I'm confused as to how anyone would get that with all these stages created by modifying Wifi Waiting Room.

Is it because these stages are no longer actually replacing Wifi Waiting Room in-game, instead being their own, new entity?

Eldiran : Do you have any Summit stages that load either randomly or with button holds? And do they work? Mine seem to just load the default one, and they're not bogus .pac files because I can replace the original and it works just fine, but refuses to load the other ones. My instinctive guess is that the hex location is wrong, but that's only because I don't know what else it could possibly be as every one of my other stages works right and I double checked the code... hmmm....

I'm afraid I don't use any Summit stages, no.

Ah, okay, thanks though. If you want to start, there is a pretty neat Volcano one =P But yeah, must be a code error. I guess I'll have to deal with it until Dantarion either tells me some words of knowledge to fix this or changing the hex value or something. If I understood where those numbers were coming from I'd look into it myself, but alas I do not.

Does anyone know where the file directory for RSBE01.wgc file and the modules go?
