It should have been 15 minutes ago but I wouldn't expect them to be 100% on time. Streams at venues, even for someone like Sp00ky, are never punctual.

I don't know who's running the stream, but they really need to Force Deinterlace.

lol 3 of the 4 third placers beat the 2nd placers in winner's and then lost to them in loser's. Top 2 per bracket pool seems rough. Is that how they're doing it at EVO?

No, there will be a lot more entrants at EVO (hopefully) so it'll keep breaking down into more brackets until they reach Top 32, Top 16, or Top 8. Not sure what the goal is at EVO for SSBM, but often times the main games get broken down until Top 32 but since there's so many games this year I think a lot more will break down to Top 16 or Top 8.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

brackets at last year's EVO. it'll still be top 2 per bracket pool (one in winners, one in losers) regardless of how many entrants it gets. the top players will generally just be spread out more if there are more entrants. but initially everyone will be put into 16 man bracket pools where top 2 get out.

nice character variety in top 8 by the way.

3000 over 5,000 people watching SF right now. Hopefully we can have that many people watching Smash later on tonight.

Edit: I've just been informed that there were 95000 people watching Marvel GF during last year's Evo. Is the smash community ready for that kind of exposure?

Nah, although Mango definitely brought it back in loser's, that set wasn't anywhere near as one-sided as what happened to Taj. If PPU hadn't missed that one combo, he'd have taken game 2.
