sometimes in chain grabs you need to dash attack grab so they'll fall into the grab hit box as it comes out (and since it's longer), i'm pretty sure this doesn't apply to falcon though

woooow so i didnt post here for like 2 weeks

i think

and this place is garbage

lets talk about something useful

unlike dash attack grabage (garbage, get it, hahahalolha)

so theres 2 main things you have to be able to do as falcon

tech chase and combo

then kinda important things

like being able to do the gentlemen and moonwalking

lastly is spacing and recovering

agreed?

lol so real question

how do you guys tech chase?

you get a grab, then what?

do you try to go for another grab? knee>grab? stomp grab?

whats your preference

Well. NesNoob knees as we discussed like a page ago.

I stomp. but I suck. Stomp Stomp Jab knee is ****. Or stomp jab knee.

Most falcons seem to stomp.

It's pretty situational whether another grab, or knee, or knee/stomp-->grab. WOW I am posted like mango too...awesome?

I think spacing is THE most important aspect along with just playing smart. Everything else after.

I only started kneeing for techchasing that often. I might stick with it, because I can seem to follow up better if I miss. Not sure.

wars not make one great
But it's so addicting! Hitting forward b and gliding on the ground like that.

Not to mention the kick *** noise it makes especially when it connects and the spacie has no idea which way to DI cause they don't know if you're throwing out a knee or u air or upsmash or f smash or regrab **** it raaaaaapes FALCON KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCKKKKK

what i used to do when i was more noobyish

was when i would back air someone

i would always follow it up with a raptor boost

because i didnt know what else to follow it up with

i think its kinda good vs marth and peach

but vs fox/falco/sheik its better to back air > grab

just because they could shield the side b and **** you

but marth and peach cant **** as much

what else

oh recovering on fd is crazy

moonwalk off the stage and falcon kick down, hug the wall

and when your almost near the bottom of the side, dj and walljump off and youll be like right next to the edge

a cool way to recover would be to do that, walljump and knee and reverse up-b

i knee'd a falco that was holding on the edge like that one time and he died off the side it was so ****

I was always thinking of how cool it would be if you could shorten raptor-boost like the spacies' side-b.

It'd be a nice little thing.

all I'm saying is that in our MM, I definitely started to punish you mad hard for using it

What's raptor-boosting? I've been seeing it a lot in this thread and I haven't seem to figure out what it is.

Help?
hit forward and B at the same time.

I think falcons might be too slow?

as in start up.

plus you can di the first hit so the secon ddoesnt hit

but i guess that would be agood thing.

Could you uptilt OoS or is that not possible? Although that as well is kinda slow. up-B probably isn't that good either.

idk either thats why im asking lol

but if it only hit with the first hit it would knock them down and then you could tech chase

because right after his legs go down, you can move, its really fast

that would be ****

i've seen sheik usmash out of shield work. it was funny.
yea but i mean like consistently, sheiks upsmash is probably as slow as falcons so

idk

nah you cant uptilt out, up-b OoS works against noobs tho

lol, no, Sheik's comes out on frame 12, Falcon's weak hitbox comes out on frame 21 :p

up B OoS isn't terrible if they're behind you and just giving you a small window to work with OoS. way better with Ganondorf though.

Could you WD behinds them and try to use the weird grab box? That sounds plausible if they're right on top of you.

no, if you WD behind them, you get hit by the shine or the dair/nair (depending on whether you go after the shine or before). For some reason i still think this is a good idea and am trying to get out of that habit XD

the best option is always to roll

its better to roll behind them because usually theyre pushing forward

and sometimes 1 roll is not enough, roll away like 7 times for added safety lol

up smash oos seems like it would work in a shield stalemate poistion where you are both in shield waiting for the other person to do something

they wouldnt expect that and it might get them

but other than that I imagine it's way too slow

Voodoo's good and all, but I feel like I was playing sloppy that match. I think I should beat VooDoo in general, but he gave that match to me when he didn't complete the triple knee... and when he missed the other knee... and when he missed that platform techchase stomp... I was so lucky to win that set.

Thumbs ***** me cause I didn't know when he was raptor boosting game 1, but then I knew and gave him the bizness in the next 2 games.

And they're both better than you, l2DI plz, kthx :) <3

wanna play on wednesday?
