Say, guys, do you have any idea how to get images that you make yourself on Smashboards? My sister's currently agreed to do the sprites of some of the Pokemon back on page 30, but I've no idea how to get them on here.

WTF SWF post hax.

Oh. You should make the SWF ItemDex. If you don't, I will.

-Terywj
I'm hesitant to do so since the main SWF Gen thread (this one) is already beginning to lessen in activity. An item thread would just distract from it further.

Oooh, Dragons. They seem pretty cool; I like the Mosaic ability, it sounds like the ability Regirock would probably have if it didn't have to have Clear Body. They seem like legendary Pokemon; is two abilities a good idea for them?

While I like the idea, IC3R, I don't know if you're suggesting we use all of them or only one or some of them. Which one is it? And what exactly do you mean when you say 'adds to defence'? Numerically or, say, proportional to the amount of damage it would have done?

They'd make a nice legendary quartet (as opposed to the usual trio). I presume Mosaic gives a Defense boost.
It should absorb Stealth Rock too! I hate Stealth Rock!

How about the Rock Type loses the unique ability and get Solid Rock, and then get rid of all the new moves barring Ion Crosser and Frost charge? (assuming they aren't exclusive moves)

That will make things a lot less.... stupid...

I think it'd be better if all the dragons got a new ability, preferably one similar to Mosaic for each. The Fire and Electric ones would probably get Flash Fire and Motor Drive, though.

It was alot better back then when we had a whole bunch of Next Gen. threads for items and attacks, etc.

But since IC3R revived them now they seem stupid.

(Compy -> Raptor -> trex?)

Cranidos and Shieldon (our other saurian Pokemon) were based off of herbivores. Perhaps our T-Rex can be the one that preyed on them in ancient times!

I thought Rampardos was based off of Pachycephalosaurus, which was an omnivore.

-Terywj
True; I've always heard it referred to as an herbivore myself, though. Either way, a Tyrannosaurus would be all over it.

Now, to think of a potential name without using the Tyrani- prefix...

Well, I didn't come up with Rock Mosaic myself. It's not going to be an exclusive ability, but I had to list it as new simply so you guys knew what it did.

@ Ultimario: If I got rid of Rock Mosaic and gave it Solid Rock instead, I'd be stealing something else's unique ability. On that note, none of the Wyverns gets anything exclusive.
Ice Spreader and Ion Crosser are moves I created in the most recent Make Your Own Move thread. I came up with Frost Charge on the spot to give Wyverikori a physical Ice move that didn't suck, to keep with the pattern of the level-up moves among the four Wyverns.

Not to mention we were all two years younger...and possibly stupider.

A good deal of the stuff in those threads was simply dumb. Regardless, Connor gave us a decent Dragon/Fire Pokemon. I tweaked it yeah, and that item I mentioned happens to make Charizard one as well.

Arouv is basically a skinny T-Rex.

But more wouldn't hurt. :p

-Terywj
Arouv....?

anyways, what Im talking is a psuedo legendary and Fossil type in one.

it will end up being the biggest of the pseudo's, along with the most HP out of them and pretty impressive attack.

now we need to find a typing that works with the Pseudo rules that involves rock 9as it's a fossil) and not /dark, as Tyranitar has that covered.

and no, Tyranitar is based off Godzilla...

Arouv is a Pokemon that Terywj posted a while ago
that should probably go in the OP
.

I know Tyranitar's based on Godzilla, but he's also already got the Tyrani- prefix taken for his name. Also, what about Rock and err...Dragon? It's bound to be reptilian.

Also, the following Pokemon have been posted since the OP was last updated:
Aquick
Aquemu
Aquastrech
Kanquash
Pumpyre
Larvatal
Sheltapede
Terropede
Orburn
Novajet
Arouv
Thermite
Extermite
Ocelord

Wyverishi

I'm pretty sure Groudon was based on a T-Rex at some point.

Interesting how post rate for this thread has suddenly jumped when te new fifth-gen Pokemon was revealed... :D

Hm, yeah, I can see the dinosaur in Groudon.

Yay 5th Gen! Let's make Pokemon and see how many 5th Gen Pokemon end up being based on the same thing.

I made a Kiwi Pokemon when I was in elementary school. :dizzy:

And no, I don't mean that kind.

I've been busy lately, what have I missed?
Well, a bunch of 5th Gen hype and speculation, but SWF-Dex-wise, not too much. The most recent Pokemon posted have been Terywj's Ocelord and IC3R's four Wyverns. We've recently been toying around with an idea for a pseudo-legendary/fossil and of course, Rotom formes.

Hammer and Blend Formes

Hammer Forme signature move: Earth Power
Blend Forme signature move: ...Fruit Blend? Rapid Spin

And lastly, just when you thought it was safe to use the bathroom...

Flush Forme

Signature Move: Muddy Water! Sludge Bomb

It's not exactly an electrical appliance, though. Though there are those automatic flushing urinals.

Blend Forme should get Rapid Spin.

Whirlpool or Twister are both really weak attacks... X-Scissor?

You know...I didn't even think about that. Rapid Spin is a great idea.
I hate Stealth Rock!

X-Scissor for Flush Forme? But...it has to have Muddy Water! Or maybe Sludge Bomb.

That Jackhammer Rotom is simply beautiful. I could not have done a better job myself!

For Flush Rotom:

Gunk Shot. Just for the lulz.

Totally go for Sludge Bomb on that bizzle.
