Still doing what? Does Step2.bat give you any errors when you run it? Did you copy the files from the Menu folder too?
Still displaying the random CSPs. I've checked and double checked plenty of times, these CSPs are not in newfiles when I run Step2, nor are they anywhere else in CUPASH-MOD.

I took out the files that were giving Step2 problems, and I've copied everything exactly where it needs to be. The lack of HUD portraits is still bugging me, but at the moment, I'm more concerned as to why these portraits are popping up on my CSS.

Something really weird happened online, i was playing a guy with no hacks at all on his wii, i tried to play a samus texture and it immediately DC'd me. Then my opponent chooses ZSS and HE has the texture but couldn't see it... he told me he doesn't have homebrew... can anyone understand how the heck that happened?

EDIT:
I had my pac file set up properly but not my pcs file,

Ah yes that. Okay I'll tell you what to do. First, go into your SD card and remove ALL (save them somewhere else if worried) the contents in Menu/Common/Char_Bust_Tex. Then delete Common5.pac in System. Remember, this is inthe SD card. Next, delete everything in New Files folder. Take out ALL The big/small files and put them somewhere else for now. Add only ONE big file for a portait that you know. For example, if you have one for Marth, just put marth1_big.tga in there. Then run step2.bat again. Next, copy the contents of the Char_Bust_tex folder to the SD card's version of that folder, and same with common5.pac again. NOW restart your Wii with the SD card in there and see what happens. I should only have that one portait for Marth (or whoever you chose) show up. If this doesn't work, It have no idea.

Well, looks like we're both at a loss... Thanks for the help, though. Any idea how they're there in the first place??

Yea, I've tested it. It works online but ONLY on your side. Your opponent WILL NOT see the textures. Also, you have to have pac files for each texture or if your opponent selects a char without a pac file the texture won't show up. Not a big deal since you can easily create pacs but yea.
See, thats the thing, I DONT have the PAC file for my Blue Pikachu and yet it still showed up a couple of times when other people used him and I used a diffrent charicter!

besides not every texture comes with a PAC. where do I find all the charicters/textures pacs?

255/0/255, magenta, FF00FF, showed up in-game. did i do something wrong?
Does the image have an indexed palette? If not, then the color Magenta will not be recognized as a transparent color. This is especially true for character portraits.

Thanks, dude... This will save me so much time.

You got every single character texture from both Stack Smash and Kitty Corp?
Wow. How generous. :)

to the extent of my knowledge of what an indexed portrait is, it is not.

but i could really use some help on that one, good sir?
If you're using The GIMP, go to Image -> Mode -> Indexed....

From there, there's a section called Dithering. There's a check box that reads "Enable dithering of transparency." Put a check mark on that box and then select Convert.

With the image now having an indexed palette, you can use the Magenta color to represent transparent colors. Keep note that when doing custom textures, only do this when the ".tga" image has a +2 on it. If it has a +1, do not check the box. Lastly, do not do an indexed palette if the filename does not have a +1 or a +2.

I downloaded the file, but you can't be serious about that texture for Zero Suit Samus. Seriously, you'd have to be stupid to want to see Samus naked.

I tried using texture hacks the other day, and everytime I'd get to the character select screen, my game would freeze.

Is there any reason for this?

I had all of my textures in the proper spots, and they were working just fine before I started adding more textures to each character's folder.

Is there a limit to how many textures you can put on a character or something?

Any ideas on why Zelda textures freeze when transforming? 2/5 of my Zelda textures show up if I pick Zelda first but if I transform to Sheik and then back into Zelda, it freezes. Yes, I have the pac files. ZSS randomly causes freezing too for me.

Finns7 you got everything right. :D

The #'s, don't worry about those. There are multiple files of them, so the file number will be different.

I just started trying this, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong, I even watched the video on the front page.

Could it be that, all of the textures I downloaded from kitty corp, weren't zipped files? the video mentioned I would have to unzip them but all I got were .pcs files

if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it!

Why the textures aren't showing up on wi-fi? I made the textures package and gave it to my friends but we can only see our character texture
