A brown dog, a brown gorilla, and a brown mole. Sounds good to me! :p

Why isn't Bub on the list, bubby?
Also balloon fighter and DK jr.
Also this is kind of boring and you might want to put some variety in it.

DK Jr? But...

Votes:
Muddy Mole
Prince Sable
Bubbles

I would vote for Bub if we were counting 3rd party.

Sorry for misleading you, Ferio_Kun, but bubble and bobble aren't retro. Their last game was 2011... but what about Takamaru? Is he not retro also?

Takamaru hasn't had a game since Nazo no Murasame-Jo.
While he has had appearances in games as of recent, his series is still retro.

Wasn't it just a near exact remake of their first game though?

If I had to choose a different one, put me down for Mike Jones.

I don't think so. Puzzle bobble was 2000 something too though, so they ertainly aren't retro (now).
Fair enough.

Just for the record though, even as 3rd party I do support Bubble & Bobble for smash. Even with as little chance as they do have.

I believe the last Bobble game made was Bust A Move Universe for the 3DS. It was released some time last year.

Well, technically both Little Mac and Takamaru have appeared recently.

Takamaru being a game in Nitendoland and little Mac in a wii game

Maybe we should figure out what we consider retro.

I'd say Little Mac is STILL retro even though he got a new game

People actually do consider Pit still a retro, even thought he has his own game and might get a second rep.

If your pasting movesets, the Sukapon thread has the best done moveset in the entire forum. Courtesy of...someone who's name I can't recall but he's credited for it in the thread

If you don't know WHY it's the best you haven't seen it yet

Of course, Sukapon being in my top 3 most wanted characters...his thread was created by me

Moveset 1: Stanley

First up, we have Stanley!

Special: Air Puff: Stanley takes out his whatchamacallit and puffs some air. It causes no damage, but it does push enemies away the length of Squirtle's Water Gun.

Side Special: Hammer: Taking a cue from Jumpman, Stanley smashes a hammer in front of him. This causes 14% damage and small knockback.

Up Special: Super Puff: Stanley puts his thingummy underneath him, and puffs it super hard, propelling him in the air like a rocket. He goes up about 3 Kirby puffs, and being hit causes 7% damage.

Down Special: Bug: Stanley throws a bug outward. It goes the distance of Wolf's Blaster, and if hit, attaches to enemies for 5 seconds, causing 3% damage each second.

Edit: There has been speculation from Zelda Informer that the 3DS version of Smash is going to be retro-base, and the Wii-U will be modern based. While this is just a rumor, it even appears to have a name: Super Smash Bros Memories. I think it isn't true, due to ZI's past mistakes about speculation.

If you want a good move-set, head over to the retro DK thread. Also, can you have 3 votes for the same character? If so then Retro DK x3, if not than retro DK and balloon fighter.

Isn't Donkey Kong Jr. already in Smash?
Well, DK has appeared in the same game as Donkey Kong Jr. Mario Tennis.

Though baby mario and etc. are now in sports games with their adult selves.

However, Is Donkey Kong Jr the same character as Baby Donkey Kong?

Donkey kong is the GRANDSON of Cranky, not his son.

Jr is Donkey Kong's father

Jr is Donkey Kong's father
but in DK64 crank calls dk his son

In the manual of DKC it says he's his grandson.

Maybe his "Son" he says in the game is just a figure of speech
