But one thing I remember people telling me, never mess with the money in the pot. But since you're telling us now, I am not sure how people would feel about it. I am fine with all of it.

@KoN, I was going to post that comic.

He mentioned that the other half taken out would be for a future event (ex: the last one that seeds people from all the biweeklys/monthlies). I am all up for the idea.

Single elimination is okay if there's a huge amount of people showing up or an extreme lack of setups (San Japan comes to mind lol). I think under 32 entrants though should always be double.

Sometimes you have to look at the tourney host's side of view.

Kyle hosts a brawl tourney, expecting about 7 setups for a 32 man bracket.

56 players show up.

Nike bails and instead of the expected 7 setups, there's 3.

Owner wants everyone out before 11:00, giving Kyle 5 hours to run the event

In situations like that, I completely understand Kyle moving it to single.

If I was playing single elim and got Espy first round, yes I would be very upset. However, I'd most likely MM everyone else at the tourney that I think I can beat.

a) you would never bail on us
b)we would never get 56 players for tournament

but sure, if you magiclly make 50+ people appear with like 3 setups, make it single\

Actually Paw, those EXACT conditions just happened last week.

55 entrants

4 setups for the first three hours before a 5th setup was made.

The tourney went for almost 10 hours

and I could never bail on you, especially on big blue :3
