Which char the wavedash is best?

Why does it matter? Wavedashing is completely useless, and if you even attempted it in Brawl, you'd just get your *** beat for taking the time to do it. It's a stupid technique people think is flashy and makes to look like a total stud for doing.

Yeah, you'll just get completely punished in those couple frames. Sliding along the ground in a standing animation is also completely useless.

I dont want to seem like a jerk or anything, but, I think some people are over hyping this just a little too much.

I really thank you for your support but I don't think it's that much of a break through. I mean, I haven't seen someone use it well in an actual fight yet.(I don't play Luigi or shiek) Lets all just wait a while and get better at it before we come to any conclusions.





yeah, some characters it completely sux with. The two chars that stuck out to me were Luigi and shiek.


Every character that crawls can do the waveland at the end of the video though. (Just to different degrees)

Your right, its could be a very useful techniqe but its also a very situational techniqe, the smash series is FULL of these situational things.

haha no it was useful with just about every character. why don't you list all the characters it wasn't useful for?

and you know what you could do on yoshis? for example lets say your playing as shiek. now let me tell you possibley her best kill move because you don't know. U-smash and thats a pretty hard move to just connect while someone is on the ground.

so you could trick them and run away they might chase you possibley. if they do you could slide a great distance towards them and then do a upsmash and you can tell by the vid that the slide is quicker then runnin.

you got any vids up since you know so much man i would like to learn from someone that has so much to say.

In Brawl, yes, but in your first post you said it wasn't that useful in Melee, sans a few characters, which is completely incorrect.

No the point is that it isn't a trick and you just don't understand its use's. wavelanding into a air attack. spot dodgeing with it into a fsmash or dsmash. canceling your run faster then any other way so you can tech chase better.canceling shines, using it out of shield.

and also brawl is been out for no time at all people are finding these things and testing if they are useful or not and from a competetive melee players point of view some of it looks useful.

also i play with a dude ( in person ) although not anymore because he is away for the summer who has made over 2 grand so far off brawl. so i aint talking out of my *** dude.

I don't play with "a dude," I know of many, in fact one of them I believe was one of the top players within tournaments for both Melee and Brawl. Never has he stated that wavedashing is more than a trick. I am not just spewing bullcrap here, I'm not just going by what I've seen in only my games, I know of people who see through stupid little tricks like that and how they really don't provide anything if you actually think while playing.
