Egg lay: It gets punished out of a spotdodge, but unfortunately for the opponent, yoshis back air beats spotdodges, so that means yoshi can basically make the opponent play a guessing game, with back air and egg lay. Yoshi also has a nice ground shield pressure move in the form of single jab-> whatever and down tilt.
Egg lay is basically another shield pressure option that *****, and yes its punishable, but with good reads you should be able to follow up with something or more than one thing.
