Ness powershield is the same as Lucas' counter.

Ness could go for Pk flash or turn into a dragon lol.

@ the Peach v Snake thing:

If health mechanics are there, Peach would survive a headshot as if it were nothing. Are health mechanics truly allowed, because ZSS' health mechanics were thrown out the window. PSSamus remains, because it's a way to power her Suit.

Problem is, Wolf has bombs which can by pass the power shield and maybe has more overall stamina (excluding healing) than Ness.

Ness has nothing that could reach Wolf.
If he just REALLY could use PK Thunder... Then it'd be different.

Eventually? Make that a perhaps. <_<; If PK Flash doesn't work on the first hit, like giving no effect as crying or feeling weird then the move just doesn't work on that enemy.

Dunno if a Bag of Dragonite is gonna reach Wolf or not, but that it probably Ness' best bet. It makes Ness transform into a dragon, yet we don't know more than that. The dragon never got visualised in EarthBound (like you'd expect in RPGs as Golden Sun) so we can't really tell...

If Wolf can't get out of range of PK Flash, then Ness probably has this one. It will auto-defeat him sooner or later, and Ness has a lot of staying power.

Boss mechanics are negated in order to stop BS like some items failing JUST BECAUSE the enemy is a boss. Or they should be negated. If items have a level limit thing, then yeh.

Okay then that way Ness will deffinatly win. Lucas' PK Flash doesn't do this, so I assumed Ness' Flash sucked as well. Never used both a lot in EarthBound and Mother 3 anyways. <_<

So PK Flash would give Wolf a status. That'd be either crying, numbness, feeling strange or instant defeat. Neither of these are favorable conditions while flying. Crying would be the least difficult for Wolf, but then again he'd probably miss his shots at Ness. Numbness and feeling strange will make Wolf lose control of his Wolfen and probably crash, and instant defeat speaks for itself.

Yeah I think Ness has this.

Well, playing EarthBound wouldn't really help you classify it either I think. <_<; The fighting system is very old skool. But still pretty cool actually, you won't mind it. This is PK Flash Ω's (spells or PSI are ranked in power from Alpha (α) to Omega (Ω) ) description:

"It generates glorious rays that have a high probability of destroying all the enemies on the scene in a single strike."

@ Current match up:

Last match up round 2? Better start round 3 then, cause the results are pretty **** obvious.

Pit has already won from Lucario, a all round much better fighter than Jigglypuff. If Lucario couldn't beat Pit, Jigglpuff probably can't either. Simple as that really... <_<

Substitute would be good for Mewtwo in this match up. As would Calm Mind and Recover for stalling Link's magic out. Psychic for doing damage.

OoT Link has 4 bottles right? Guessing he'd split up between 2 fairies and 2 Blue Potions he'd try to attack Mewtwo with his Biggorron Sword and elemental arrows while using Nayru's Love constantly. Arrows would do significantly less damage to Mewtwo once he gets his Calm Minds up, and most likely... Mewtwo could levitate to avoid much of Link's sword attacks.

If Mewtwo gets his Calm Minds up, he could kill Link with just a couple of hits from Psychic. TP Link deffinatly loses to Mewtwo anyway, since he got no magic.

Um...when we get done with these match ups it's going to end up with Samus on top, unless more people than Ganon can beat her. This is simply because Ganon's one enemy shows up three times in three different forms on this list. How is that going to work? Will we just say that Samus beats Ganon overall (lol), or is something else going to happen?

Those 3 characters are 3 different characters in brawl :O.

Anyways, the more match-ups/rounds we do, the more we'll get closer to an actual smash canon tier list.

And who says TL, YL and Link beat Ganon?

If Samus wins more matches than Ganondorf, yeah she should be higher on the list than him. Dunno if that will happen though, but could be possible since Ganondorf could already potentially lose to 3 characters. Link, Toon Link and Young Link.

I'm thinking Mewtwo will win this btw.

Substitute, Recover and Calm Mind will make Mewtwo last longer than Link, Calm Mind even boost his attack power. Mirror Shield wouldn't work against Mewtwo's Psychic either, while still doing great damage to Link. PP Ups would make Mewtwo able to use Psychic up to 16 times, which would be more than enough if he get's his 6 Calm Minds up tripling his Special Attack power, and defence against Link's magic.

Embargo could be used to make Link only be able to use his sword against Mewtwo. A physical based Mewtwo could beat him then with Bulk Up (+ Attack and + Defence) Psycho Cut and Recover. Bottles with fairies also wouldn't be used when Link dies, and if it did... Mewtwo probably has maxed his Attack and Defence, potentially OHKO'ing Link with Psycho Cut right after he get's revived.

Doesn't mather if Link goes against Mewtwo with the sword or with his arrows, Mewtwo has counters for Link everywhere.

Still think "Link" needs to be divided into OoT Link and TP Link, cause TP Link is now enjoying winning every time cause of OoT abilities. <_< DK would eat TP Link for example, but lost to OoT Link.

Embargo is shown to fail against certain items... funny stuff, actually. Like Marowak and Farfetch'd.

EDIT: Embargo prevents the foe from using its currently held item... dunno if Link taking out a different item would change it. Kinda like using a Choiced Trick on a Pokemon under Embargo. Does the Choiced item still activate?
