Kaak, I like your G&W, haha. Your use of F-smash is cool. It looked like you were good at predicting when your opponents were going to move right into it.
In the match against MK, around 2:42, when you grab the MK on the platform, what if you tried walking to the middle of the platform and D-smashing instead of techchasing with U-smash? The sweetspot would cover both ends of the platform, and would have KOed if it hit.
If you try for a D-smash instead of a U-smash, then I think it would cover your opponent's options better. From the middle of a platform, the Dsmash will tip (and in this case KO) if your opponent rolls. If he simply stands, then you can grab and reset the situation on reaction. The get up attack would be the problem. A techchase tends to place you out of the range of a get up attack, so it's safer. You can try shielding, and I think you could drop your shield and connect with a D-smash on reaction. In the video, you weren't quite in the center of the platform, but if you expect a roll, then you can just walk a few steps. This wouldn't be as safe (necessarily) as a running U-smash, but you don't have to guess quite as much. If you think they'll roll, then you get the stock right then and there.
In general, I'm particularly curious as to whether or not using a D-smash (not a buffered one that would sourspot) on a platform to follow up a D-throw would be better than trying to techchase with U-smash. For anyone who's tried this before, have you had any more success than trying to techchase with U-smash?
