Now hopefully to get you all interested in Hexxus heres a little preview...

Specials:

Super Special Awesome Notes: Some of Hexxus attacks involve covering the battlefield with oil. This oil treates the ground as Ice for those other then Hexxus. In addition they can be set aflame by any fire based attack, causing a column of flame to erupt and spread roughly the height of Ike and at the speed of Wolfs laser from the point of impact. The damage is x1.5 the initial fire damage as it spreads through all connected patches of oil. While any fire based attack can ignite it, fire damage caused by the oil does not damage Hexxus even if a foe ignites it. The Oil disappears when set aflame, or after 15 seconds on the stage.

Hunt You Down Without Mercy...

here's a preveiw for james hetifeld, the metallica guitarist/vocalist, inspired by the awesome joe perry moveset in MYM3:

B:all nightmare long:
james points his guitar forward, releaseing a zombie from the song this move is derived from's MV, which is really a redead pallette swap. this zombie goes 50% faster than a redead, but only goes 2 stage builder blocks forward. if used in the air, it will still move forward at the same pace while falling down at the rate of a normal item. this zombie can take 20% before dieing. if it physically touches an opponent, it grabs them and does 2-3% a second for 2-7 seconds. the grabbed will be able to be attacked while grabbed to rack up damage, but can button mash to get out of it early. inescapeable when above 75%.

GWS averted, kit! [/insidejoke] :chuckle:

@Lenus: That is EXACTLY what I was hoping Hexxus would have for a special mechanic. I really look fowards to seeing the whole thing. :)

@Wyvern: You look like you're improving greatly with this move set. I wish you the best of luck.

Shanoa will have two unique gameplay mechanics to her...here's a preview of them both...

MP Mechanic

In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Shanoa has an MP bar which, when fully diminished, leaves Shanoa vulnerable for a few seconds until it recharges. In Smash, this mechanic is represented in sort of a “Stale Moves” kind of way. For example, if you’re attacking the opponent too much, Shanoa’s attacks will become slightly sluggish. If this happens, simply run away from your opponent and wait about two seconds. The guideline for attacking an opponent “too much” is using more than 16 attacks in 8 seconds.

And the second gameplay mechanic is her Neutral B...

Neutral B: Glyph Absorb- Shanoa spins around and lifts her hair up, revealing the large glyph imprinted on her back. At the same time, a glyph will appear around the nearest opponent and be suctioned towards Shanoa. After one and a half seconds, Shanoa will absorb said glyph and gain a new power, replacing Glyph Absorb with a new attack. Unlike Kirby’s Swallow however, the attack Shanoa gains is entirely unique to her only and isn’t a copy of the opponent’s neutral B (however the glyph gained is related to the character Shanoa obtained it from in one way or another). Each character gives off a unique glyph, see the list below for each character…

So essentially, she's able to absorb a unique attack from each character in the game except Samus/Zamus (their's is the same) and Pokemon Trainer (one glyph out of a pool of three is chosen at random).

That could be really fun and abusive. Plus siking zombies on people is devilishly awesome.

Glad you approve since you used him in your SSE. I will do my best to please! :)

Cool stuff, both have interesting effects (and goes into more detail on what you posted before)...

...However Hexxus has another gameplay mechanic as well, though technically its linked to the oil. I just didn't preview it... *suspense*

Goldwyvern Syndrome: Using ridiculously complex statistics to convey simple attack stats, ex, 5/6 Bowsers, etc, etc.

Off the top of my head, that is.

I'm flattered, good sir. Your probly the only person I've ever inspired in a good way.

It's funny, my Joe Perry moveset was inspired by the awesome Weird Al Yankovic moveset in MyM2!

At any rate. I'm actually vaguely considering doing either a Billy Corgan or Jimmy Hendrix moveset in that same veign.

After my SSE, of course. Man, that thing's a bear.

Allow me to revise that, kitsune. GWS involves having complex, really precise statistics but ridiculously underdetailed attacks. Better now?

Weird Al placed in the Top 10 in MYM 2. Just so you all know. Y'know.

Overview

[01-OVRV]

Kefka Palazzo hails from Final Fantasy VI. He first starts out as a horrifyingly weak underling to the Emperor, but turns against his regent at the first opportunity. Not much is known about Kefka, except that he is a madman. He is insane and hungry for power, loves to seed sorrow, pain and suffer. On the other hand, he is whiny, and cowardish at times. Kefka is considered being one of the greatest villains in the history of videogames, and especially the Final Fantasy series.

Kefka's moveset will be borrowing moves and ideas from Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy Dissidia. What he does is what he most likely would do all the time, being cheery and goofy, full of himself and laughing at those trying to oppose him, joking around. His attacks all are not that great, especially because all of them seem very random. However, you can use them perfectly for setting up mindgames, because that's what Kefka is based on to do. Toying with his opponents' minds!

Stats

[02-STTS]

Screen Name:
Size: 6/10 - He's about the size of Marth.
Weight: 4/10
(Running) Speed: 4/10 - Kefka takes his time running... or actually, he hops around cheerily similar to Peach's walk, like if the fight doesn't touch him at all.
First Jump: 7/10 - Kefka bounces up insanely high, actually, doing a "Boing!" sound.
Second Jump: 3/10 - He goes a little bit further, but not by insanely much, spreading his legs a bit, as well.
Hover: No.
Fall Speed: 3/10 - Kefka is very floaty.
Crouch: Yes.
Crawl: Yes.
Wall Jump: No.
Wall Cling: No.
Gliding: No.

Standard Attacks

[03-STND]

Jab Combo:

Go Away!
Remember Lucas idle stance when he is waving his arms in front of him? Well... that's basically what Kefka does. He, though, additionally quickly slaps while turning away his head in disgust, trying to keep the opponent on distance. Each hit does 1% damage and flinches, and this move can be continued infinitely. You sometimes even can hear him mutter "Yuck!" or "Ew!".

Dash Attack:

Turnaboutaround

As said, Kefka doesn't run, he hops cheerily around. When you press the attack button while he "dashes", Kefka quickly turns around in his current little jump and stretches out his arse, knocking enemies away with his mighty cheeks of doom. This will cause 4% damage and low knockback, but... it's so hilarious to look at! It has nearly no ending lag, but, as said, takes a bit to start up.

Forward Tilt:

Pink Elephants
Kefka quickly points forward, yelling "Look!". Anyone who's in the range of one Bowser and facing Kefka will now automatically turn their back to Kefka. This only works if the enemy is in front of (or diagonally above) Kefka, as well. The C-Stick will not allow them to just turn in the original direction. They can turn around again after 0.75 seconds. This move does not work against airborne enemies. If one is touched by the pointing, they'll recieve 3% damage and flinch. But you might not want that, right? If Kefka doesn't get someone to turn and look, he kicks the ground, muttering a "Crud!". So, if you miss, you'll have ending lag. Otherwise - fast.

Up Tilt

Rapier Stab
You surely expect something with Kefka stabbing his rapier now, right? Well, I'm really sorry to disappoint you, but this is not how this move works. In fact, Kefka drops his rapier onto his foot, causing him to yelp and jump upwards a bit. If someone touches him (yes, the whole body), they will be lifted straight upward with low knockback and 5% damage. The move is not really slow, as well.

Down Tilt:

What Comes Now?!
Now for a very odd move. Kefka pulls out a sphere of the size of a Pokéball while crouching, and places it floatingly right in front of him. Now, that doesn't sound too spectacular, right? Well, here comes the twist. This little sphere acts (and is coloured) differently, depending on what move Kefka used right before he set that up! If he hasn't used a move before, he'll simply use a blue sphere. Now let's see the possibilities:

Jab/Dash/Tilt: Blue
If Kefka puts a blue sphere in front of him, the sphere simply will immediately explode right to his foot, the blast being as big as a Bob-Omb-Explosion. It does average knockback and 8-10% damage.

Smash: Red
If he sets up a red ball, this will remain for 3 seconds. Then it will explode just like the blue version.

Aerial: Yellow
The yellow orb will float upwards two times Mario's height and then explode in the usual blast we know and love.

Special/Final Smash: Purple
The purple marble will slowly home an enemy. If it doesn't get to one in 1.5 seconds, it will vanish. If it connects, we have a very nice spike which has 15% damage and the same knockback as Zelda's lightning kick.

Throw: Green
If a green orb is set up, it will start rotating around Kefka for 3 seconds, knocking enemies away with low knockback and 2% damage. It, however, stuns them, as well.

Get Up/Ledge/Being Hurt: White
This will create a white sphere. It lies on the ground and can be picked up as every other item in the game, and thrown. If someone is hit, they take 5% damage and flinch. And... that's about it.

Smash Attacks

[04-SMSH]

Forward Smash:

Towel of Doom
Like everyone should, Kefka always carries a towel with himself! While "charging" the Smash, Kefka rotates a white towel at his side, giggling idiotically. When released, he slaps forward with the cloth. This has some great range, does 10-15% damage and above average knockback. However, there is a 3% chance that the towel is, instead of white, blue. Uh oh. You guessed it. If Kefka uses the blue towel, this move has insane 20-23% damage and high knockback.

Up Smash:

Drawn to Life
Kefka dives a brush into a pot of ink while charging this attack. Then, he brushes a line just above himself. The further the move is charged, the thicker is the line he draws. Now, this move looks odd, and it... actually really is. Because Kefka can use this line as a platform! Everyone else will slip through like air. The thicker the line, the longer Kefka can stand on it. If an enemy is hit by the brush, they will recieve 9-13% damage and low knockback into the direction the brush swings.

Down Smash:

Slippery Affairs
Good old Kefka sets up a bucket next to him. While charging, he pours in some deep purple liquid into said bucket, and if released, kicks it, so it falls over. Out of it, said liquid then comes, and is on the floor. Wow. Okay, so what does it do? Simple: If someone steps onto that pond, they're poisoned. This works like if someone hit them with Lip's Stick once. The longer the move is charged, the longer the puddle stays, with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 seconds. Someone who's poisoned and steps in again won't be anymore affected by it. The slop has the same colour and glowing as Ganondorf's dark magic, so it's not too hard to not jump right into it.

Aerial Attacks

[05-AERL]

Neutral Air:

This is just dreadful!
In shock, Kefka holds his hands in front of him like some kind of shield and turns his face away. This move comes out very quick, but it does only 5% damage, and, instead of knockback, simply turns around the victim into the opposite direction. Oh deary. Very interesting to use against some people relying on a special Aerial attack, though, eh? It's not too ranged, and has some ending lag when Kefka lowers his hands again, but otherwise, a very useful move.

Forward Air:

Ring Kick
Whee! Kefka spreads out a foot and does a loop de loop kick! He even says "Whee"! Isn't that cool? This attack is pretty quick, but since Kefka does a ring first, it's not that easy to aim. It "pays" off with low knockback and 6% damage, but automatically causes an enemy to use their second jump if they haven't used it already.

To understand easier how this move looks like, here an image

Kefka's whole body, with the foot first, does the loop (the direction shown as arrow here). It's an attack the whole time, though. The loop is very small and he does this rather quick, but it's still not easy to aim.

Back Air:

Changing Somersault
Whee! Kefka spreads out a foot and ... does a loop de loop kick...? Just kidding. He really doesn't. But this attack starts up exactly the same as the Ring Kick! Hahaha. Great, eh? When Kefka has spread out his sole, he then does a somersault backwards, kicking enemies enemy with low knockback and 6% damage. It has a similar property as Ring Kick, though, causing enemies to enter fast fall, which they can't revert for 0.5 seconds.

Up Air:

Hexagon Punch
Yet another strange attack. And not one of the quickest possibilites Kefka has, either. Now, what does it do? Easy. Kefka first gathers momentum in his fist, and then uppercuts diagonally upwards, aiding his blow with dark magic. If an enemy is hit, they will take 8% damage and quickly fly straight upwards, but wait! They... don't go very much, because their way is blocked by a magical forcefield. It's purple and has the shape of an hexagon (nomen est omen, eh?). As soon as the victim touches the forcefield, they are nicely meteor smashed downwards. The punch is very very laggy, as already said, and that on both ends. It has not really good range, either. But I think it sure pays off.

Down Air:

Sneaky Little Kefka
When using this move, Kefka quickly kicks downward several times as like he's walking in the air while striking a hunchback. This pose resembles what you usually see in cartoons when someone tries to sneak. Every little kick does 1% with a total of 7. The first 6 do no knockback, the seventh flinches. It's extremely quick with nearly no lag on either side, but it has insanely low range (and priority, for that matter).

Special Attacks

[06 - SPCL]

Neutral Special:

Variety Fiagra
Kefka spreads his arms and sends out 3 fireballs - one straight ahead, one diagonally upwards and one diagonally downwards. If the fireballs hit a wall or the ground, they will bounce off of them. The range is infinite, but if they hit another player or an obstacle not being a wall or platform, they will firey disappear. There can only be one wave of Firaga at once, which makes this attack not spammable. The projectiles go slow and are as big as Olimar's head, so you probably will see them coming. If someone is hit, they will recieve 5% damage and flinch. You could use them to have your enemy focus on avoiding these balls, though...

Side Special:

Spinning Blizzaga
Kefka snips his finger, which then will cause 3 ice crystals of the size of a bumper to rotate around and follow him. They will simply rotate centered on Kefka, until you press the Special button again. Then, the crystals will stop their movement and slowly spiral outwards. If Kefka moves on, the crystals will not center around him anymore, but continue their spiral of cold. When reaching their highest range, it will have about 2/3 of the Smart Bomb explosion. If someone is hit by one of the crystals, they'll be frozen and recieve 7% damage. Since the speed of them is so slow, and they are easily avoided, they are perfect for drawing your enemies' attention to not get frozen.

Up Special:

Relaxing Float
Kefka yawns a bit. What follows, depends on where he is.
If he is standing on the ground, he lays on the floor like King Dedede in his crouch. If you leave Kefka be, he will start to snore after 3 seconds, and then recover 1% of damage with every following second.
If he is in midair, he will do the same pose - just well... in the middle of the air. You then are able to control him in mid-air like R.O.B., but beware... it's not 3 seconds as you might expect, but it's only as long as Peach is able to float! Which is not really much...
A merely defensive move, and for the purposes of recovering from off-stage not really THAT helpful, eh?

Down Special:

Here and There Thundara
Kefka claps and summons a little white ritual circle, which quickly goes straight forward in the direction he faces. It has the range of 1/2 of Final Destination before it disappears. Wait... what? Haha. You thought that's all? Well, here comes the twist. If an item, obstacle or enemy is touched by or stepping into that circle, they will be locked on by that circle! Is that all? Nono, it goes on. So, you have a circle locked on an opponent. That circle follows them in their movement. After 1.5 seconds, there will thunderbolts randomly appear, a whole 3 of them. Where? No idea! Above, below, to their sides... Who knows! Same goes for the angles. That's why it's called Here and There Thundara, myes. If someone is hit by these bolts, they will recieve 4% damage and be flinched. Don't complain now, will you?

Grab and Throws

[07 - THRW]

Kefka uses a lasso for grabbing enemies! Oh my. It has about the same range and lag as Link's grappling hook. If he catches an enemy, they will be pulled towards him. Tied up well, Kefka himself is disgusted by throwing enemies. This is the reason why he calls his Imperial soldiers aiding him in his works.

Pummel
Kefka doesn't think highly of his enemies, and therefore gets out his brush and starts scribbling on the victim's face, causing 1% damage with each line. Every character has their own "facelift" from Kefka, which will stay on their face until their current stock is gone! Ideal if you want to spite your enemy.

Here a few examples of Kefka's "modern art":
Brawl Cast:
When used on Peach
Kirby
Meta Knight
Jigglypuff
Mr. Game & Watch (by dancingfrogman)
Sonic (by Hyper_Ridley)

MYM4 Movesets:
AI Colonel (by MasterWarlord)
Kefka himself
Sephiroth (Moveset by ~Cruxis~)
Tails Doll (Moveset by dancingfrogman)
Dr. Robotnik (by dancingfrogman)
Yusuke (by Lenus Altair)
Raphael Sorel (by Lenus Altair)
Venger (by Lenus Altair)
Yami Yugi (by Lenus Altair)
Hexxus (by Lenus Altair)

Note: If you have an idea how Kefka could lift the face of your moveset(s) or a Brawl character who isn't here yet, go ahead, make a picture and show it to me. If I like it, it'll be included into this moveset.
You could even make them as an Extra for your moveset! :bee:

Forward Throw
Kefka waves in disgust, which calls a henchman of his. The soldier carries a bat, which he blows into the throwee for good distance and 8-10% damage. A baseball fanfare will be played after launching the enemy.

Back Throw
Kefka snaps his fingers, summoning one of his Imperial soldiers. While Kefka looks at his fingernails, the henchman places the enemy onto the floor and pulls up their rear into the air. Kefka then turns around, kicking into the arse of the enemy, sending them with okay range and 6-7% damage. Well, at least you can tell everyone how you kicked their butt!

Up Throw
Kefka claps. This calls a henchman with some odd tube-looking metal thing. The soldier sets it up, stuffs the enemy into it and presses a button. It's a firework launcher! The throwee is shot straight upwards with nice range and 6-8% damage. Neat.

Down Throw
Kefka whistles shortly, and with that calls yet another soldier. This one has a red headband and a black belt, and wears a white gi over his armor, and having no shoes. He looks so familiar... Anyway, this soldier grabs the throwee and slams them into the ground, doing 9-11% damage. It goes just a bit further than Kefka's lasso reaches, so no chaingrab here, buddy.

Final Smash

[08 - FISM]

Light of Judgement
Wowee. When grabbing the Smash Ball the great Kefka disappears summons his tower. The tower will glow and... home into an enemy! Then it will release a blast of energy similar to the laser on the Halberd. Everyone who gets caught will recieve 40% damage and high knockback - since it's so easily avoidable, it's okay, though... I guess. When the Final Smash has ended, Kefka returns onto the stage, laughing his trademark laugh.

"Fwee hee hee!"

Yes, a free taunt~

Taunts

[09 - TANT]

Up
Kefka does his trademark laugh. "Fwee hee hee!"

Side
Kefka bows forward and slaps his buttocks, giggling at his opponent.

Down
Kefka shakes his fist, taunting his enemy with the words "Son of a Sandworm! You'll pay for this!"

Extras

[10 - EXTS]

Entrance
Kefka comes down on his lasso, which is hanging from who knows where. He bows while the rope goes back up.

Victory Poses

Up
Bowing, Kefka asks "Why do you think Oppose rhymes with Dispose?"

Side
You can see Kefka's back. He then bends said back, looking at the screen upsidedown, and makes faces.

Down
Kefka, bordered by two henchmen, raises his foot, stating "...AHEM! There's SAND on my boots!", which causes the henchman to kneel down and clean the shoe.

Loss
Being sour of the loss, Kefka jumps around furiously, sometimes trying to throw a tomato at the winner(s).

Kirby Hat
Clownface Kirby with a feather on his head. He recieves Variety Firaga as a Neutral Special.

Unlock Message
How 'bout a little Magitek mayhem? Kefka has joined the fight!

Don't worry, folks! More Extras will follow when Spadefox is back from his Christmas vacation! This will include all missing stuff like Alternative Costumes, Snake Codec, but also a Stage, an SSE Boss, and much more stuff!

WOW, that's a great moveset. Seriously, Spade, I've read about 50% of the attacks and I love every one of them. Up Smash and Down Tilt in particular are crazy cool.

Definitely one of your best, and that's saying something. :bee:

You can do such craziness only when starting out a moveset at 10 PM and finishing it at 4:30 AM! Which it is right now!
See it as a Christmas gift. :bee:

Looks totally awesome, Spade!!

Enough of this "final boss monologue" crap. lol. You ain't going nowhere and you ain't gonna stop. You can't and you know it. There will be MOAR Kirby characters in the future.
Well, I might think about maybe doing more. Don't want to go overboard, you know. Gotta have few enough movesets that people don't spread their votes out too much. Yeah, there'll be more, though. :]

Hey fellers, sorry I'm so irregular in my postings, but it's that time of year, and I'm a procrastinator when it comes to shopping.

In other news, ecent movesets have been awesome! Good job, everyone!

Also, I've finalized the character list for my SSE (NO CHANGES!!!! >:-( ) and am fervently working on Chapter 2. Here are the characters I plan to introduce in this chapter:

Joker
Penguin
Appollo Justice
Protoman
Puppetman
Salsa & Fassad
Youtube Toilet
King Harkinian
Dragonfly
Raphael
Lyon

So, Booyah.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. :)

I LOVE it how movesets are generally ignored. :bee:
I thought it looked really good, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even play Final Fantasy games. From what I gather he seems like a jester (which is quite clearly captured in the moveset) as well as an enormous jerk (which is also shown quite clearly). Overall, another great moveset from you Spadefox, I don't usally find much to appreciate from Final Fantasy character movesets (not because they're not good but because I simply don't know the series) but this one I found quite enjoyable : )

Thanks for the kind wordsies. <3

Kefka is a jerk, yes. He's not a jester... well, he is, but I think he isn't intentionally one. He's just absolutely random, and can be from ridiculous to insanely cruel (he poisons a river and erases with this action a whole town of its inhabitants, for example, which is mirrored in his DSmash). And he is one of the few villains to achieve their goal of destroying the known world and ruling over the things left.

And since it's you: Shanoa has been introduced in my SSE, btw. Chapter 1 already. :bee: Henry and his Boss are in Chapter 2, as well!

You gotta have a One rep somewhere in the moveset. All I'm gonna say.

Oh, and part 1 of chapter 2 of Time Crash has been added!!!! :chuckle::bee::chuckle::lick:

Why did I say "Part 1 of Chapter 2", you ask? Because the final level of Chapter 2 takes place in Arkham Asylum, and without giving too much away, the level's alot like Boss Rush. This one's taking me awhile.

Commentz arr uppreeshiated, and appreciated also.

Whoa, I didn't know they were in your's too....you certainly did them justice, the Walter boss fight was just as epic as I imagined...and Shanoa, as always, kicks arse.

And you're making an Aeon moveset? I look forward to that too! I REALLY need to get Castlevania Judgement (I know, I know it's supposed to be bad but I want it T_T; )

EDIT: And that was the most awesome version of Carol of the Bells I've heard xD
