The results from the Tournament "Beauty" should be attached to the Swedish smasher Roflcopter instead of the American smasher ROFL.

it was unknownpresence, I told him to send me the .tio file after he got pools in.

could someone with tio (and time :D) please recreate this tournament http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=10955384

it was the most important tournament in europe 2010 and the host is not active any more so i don't think we're able to get the original tio files

edit: well Fuzzyness is still active, he might has the tio file. I'll ask him

I was watching a west coast livestream the other day and they kept calling it "Eee El Oh" instead of Elo lol. Just an FYI if you didn't know, it's not an acronym. It was named after the inventor, who's last name was Elo.

I would, but there is no link to the pools results in that thread, so it looks like we will need the original tio file.

Suggestion: how about a few new regional groups, such as Northeast, Midwest, South and West for the US? I'm interested in comparing some of these regions to each other and checking like thirty boxes for any two groups is a pain in the ***.

Oo, new toys!

I tried it but ran into this problem: the custom groups only appear on the first page - that is, when you're selecting the first set of regions. However, now that I'm done with that, the 'History vs. other regions:' part of the process doesn't have those custom groups. (For that matter, that list doesn't even have the 'United States' and 'Europe' subgroups.)

How long does it take for uploaded Files to be shown in the statistics?

We go through each pending tio file uploaded manually to make sure all of the names are entered properly, and that they are legit SSBM events (Meaning not brawl, or other random games, or random tio files to boost elo). So it really just depends on when a mod logs in and sees it. I got to yours just now, so you're good.

I can explain the problem mentioned in the last post (and the one it quoted). The ones without pools were recreated by The Good Doctor and uploaded during the time when ORLY was completely against supporting this project. He eventually folded under the pressure and uploaded his files, which are the ones with pools. The one I linked in my post here actually has slightly different results. The names in the file need to be changed, though.

DtJ Oro?! = Oro?!
Jeff = The Good Doctor
GeorgeMcFly = iamthemicrowave
mcsnappleton = McSnapple (first tournament for both names, though he isn't a new player... idk where his old results are)
Gio = GiovanniG
cheato = alcheato


I happened to notice that Me14K and Mendoza both have duplicate names in the database as well (with slightly diff capitalizations)

no. 1 smash daddy and Smash Daddy need to be combined. Either name works.


I will try to spend some time looking through the others for name mismatches.



edit- went through all the tourneys and flagged players for renames. I can't remember who PSI is, even though he beat me...

TX player "perfectengrish" never entered Genesis 2. This is probably a case of two people with the same alias (what's with TX and these issues??). Can we get these two perfectengrishes their own identities?

uhh so the company that hosts SSBPD's website is entirely down. if i dont hear back from them in a couple days I'll get it hosted somewhere else and hopefully without too much data loss. It might be a little while though.

Sorry about this, was not expecting total failure of the hosting company to get in the way.

sorry this is taking so long. here's the current status:

after not hearing from the old host for about a week, i finally decided to accept that i wasn't getting my data back, and I was gonna just have to pay for new hosting.

currently ssbpd is up and exists, but currently lots of stuff is messed up because of differences in the two hosting environments, so I'm working on getting it actually correctly functional again before I point the domain name back at it.

tl;dr should be up in the next few days
