The song was very relaxing. It is very different from all the songs I listen to. The songs I listen to are filled with guitar, a string instrument, or piano and most of the time a heavy drum beat. This song did have a drum beat but it didn't last the whole song and it wasn't very noticeable. Even though there was guitar in the song, it was played in a very different way from all the songs I listen to, but in a good way. The bad part about the song is that it wasn't catchy at all.
I like songs that are catchy and thats the biggest reason why I like Kelly Clarkson songs.

Goddamn! so soothing. I've seen this album cover before but never gave it a try.
Got kind of a hard-on at that sudden guitar tone that comes up in the 2:40's
The anecdote she's singing about gets pretty succinct at times, "if I ever meet the dirty policeman who roughed you up", which IMO is kind of a blemish among the rest of the lyrics.
It's a pretty static song, but being slow and soothing (kind of eerie too), it's easier to allow that.
I enjoyed it enough to listen to other things from that album.

Omg, beautiful voice! You can tell she's really putting emotion into it.
Wow I really like this song, the guitar piano and drums are perfectly played to deliver a very nice Pop-rock sound. The bridge is amazing! The lyrics are kinda generic, but it's very forgivable in this song. Definitely will be checking out her other stuff.

Blown away o.o

Chiptunes... :S Great in a video game, not so much to listen to freely. It was ok, but got on my nerves after a bit. Nothing else to really say...
I have a friend who'd probably love this though, lol.

It sounds like a song I would hear if I turned on the radio, but at least it's better than call me maybe or as long as you love me. Usually before I get used to a song, I have to listen to it at least 4 times. I got used to this song the first time I listened to it. I loved the piano intro and the first chorus. The song changed a lot in the beginning of the second verse, and I didn't like that added instrument, idk what its called. The song sounded the same from the second verse till the end. I think they could have made the whole song 2 notes higher after the second chorus and it would have sounded great and different. The ending would have been better if it had the piano melody from the intro and ended with just a piano chord.

A lot more rock than the last song you posted by them, and very nice. Why haven't I heard them before? Seriously D:

Very nice chorus, I just LOVE her voice lol. It has so much power and emotion thrown into it, not something you hear everyday. The bridge is very nice, I love the melody. The lyrics are also pretty nice. The bands plays very well, and love how they blend the guitar piano and drums.

I can definitely picture myself going to one of their concerts in the future. o:

i enjoy her voice. this song is giving me like a california vibe. the chorus is quite pleasant. i love the "beggin' you beggin' you" part.

it was nice. i enjoyed it. just barely missed a 4/5 simply because it was generic-ish.

i love radiohead but i was sleeping on this record sooo hard

i got a bit sick of the radiohead sound after hail to the thief honestly but i like this, it sounds fresh and somewhat different to what they've done so far

well i guess it sounds similar to something that could have been on amnesiac but amnesiac was amazing so whatever

sorry i'm really bad at wording and describing things so i'm just enjoying it

******* trolls and their optical tricks!

I like the juxtaposition of the fast pace and the soft vocals, and they meet together at a point of synth that makes the combo make sense. It's really spacey but it doesn't really require that I'm in a mood for the... like... "prologue to the final boss fight in some japanese rpg"... mood.
I'm cool with not being able to understand anything they're saying, voices are instruments themselves after all, and their vocal melodies aren't ugly. It would have been nice if there were an actual climax somewhere.
not bad

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm surprised this video only has 300 some views. Anyways, this is a real nice acoustic song to listen too. Whether you're busying yourself with other things, just intently listening to the lyrics, or even a nice relaxing drive in your car. The progression in this song is pretty standard, and I honestly have no complaints about this song. It's all around well done.

Really nice song. I like his voice and I like the female vocals; it's a nice touch. As for the actual production of the song, I like it. I'm not sure if this is it, but it has a nice R&B touch (am I wrong?). Also, going back to the vocals, I like the highs where it shows more emotions/rawness.

Interesting acid jam track that very quickly evolves into sounding exactly like an Aphex Twin track.

which makes sense i guess, since the Tuss seems to be widely accepted as another pseudonym for Richard d James. The main sample used mostly as a snare hit gets old quite fast.

It gets more interesting halfway through with that chopped up piano bit. Then it gets pretty boring again with that monotonous drum pattern

by the time it's over, I welcome the ending. but i still enjoyed the experience itself. it's not what I look for as far as Richard D James and IDM music in general so it's kinda disappointing. I'm more partial to RDJ's style in songs like Alberto Balsalm and Girl/boy song

I don't know how to exactly describe this, but the somberness this guy sets from the beginning just hangs on you. You just lower your head, listen to the song, trying to get every line down, and just feeling that raw emotion. Yeah he doesn't come off as someone with "emotion", but I could "feel" it in his words. His flow is well done, which makes the story well told. Everything just works. I mean, if I had to pick a weakness, it would be the very beginning/chorus, but that's just being picky.

"I wasn't jealous cause of all the talents they got, I was terrified they would be the last black boys to fly out of Compton" Damn.

I'm struggling to know of a world where 2005 is "new".

anyways, FRANK OCEAN
---

I'm not really crazy about Frank Ocean so I slept on this album even with all the hype it's gotten as a "new age hip hop rnb classic".

Musically this isn't impressing me. Lyrically it seems to be Forrest Gump's general story thru the eyes of Jenny? I ****ing hate Forrest Gump so I kind of dislike these lyrics as well. Could be a metaphor that is flying over my head, though.

It's an okay song I guess. Definitely not seeing what the hype is about, especially if this is one of the best/most noteworthy songs on the album, but I'll eventually check out the rest of it eventually. After listening to this, it will probably be later rather than sooner.

Let's see um... I like the vintage feel to it, the classic guitar sound... but other than that I didn't like it at all D:

They seemed very off key most of the time, the music overpowered the voices by a large margin, I couldn't even hear what they were saying. Their voices seemed very flat also. I didn't get anything from it, was more like noise in the background. Went in one ear, out the other.

The music was ok, but nothing that would stick with me or keep me coming back for more...

"Got enough strength to flip a pancake"??? Really?

Okay outside of that line, the song is pretty decent. The beat is simple...too simple. There's just not much going on there, and she needs something else to propel the song. Her voice is pretty good, and she sings in a very "catchy" way. It's just the beat doesn't do a good job aiding her. For this beat, she should have less energy in her singing, or at least make the singing a bit toned down.

I do love the change in music for the bridge. That guitar with the "na na na" is pretty cool and well done. The end of the song is pretty underwhelming...Overall though, just not much going on.

I liked the intro. The chorus was decent but it was not very catchy. The whole song sounded the same, sometimes this isn't a bad thing, but this song wasn't catchy so it didn't make it up for it. I loved the guitar in the song, it goes very well with the vocals and it's the only thing I liked about this song. The ending could be much better, it sounded just like the rest of the song, except he kept saying "You know my name".

Vocals are wayyyy over-emphasized. This is normal in this type of music, but it still is a constant bother for me. Good thing the other parts of the song are really uninteresting as well so I know I'm not missing out on too much.

I don't really "get" the chorus. by which I mean it doesn't hook me like a good catchy chorus should. it's just Kelly singing more forcefully than she is in the verse with some overdubs.

Actually, I'm struggling to find the hook in this song at all. Nothing about it is particularly catchy. I guess it's the "I didnt know/couldn't see" chorus but it's just so...bland... I enjoy and can relate to the lyrics but the music is just completely flat.

And, it's over. Even for Kelly Clarkson, this song is bland. She (or her songwriters) can do much better than this!

Rap... hmm.

I usually despise rap, but this one is actually kinda tolerable. Has a very dark badass feel to it.
I don't really know how to accurately judge rap though, because I usually don't listen to it unless it's like a guest rapper in a dance song or w/e.

The song sounded the same throughout it, no changes or anything, but I guess that's just how rap is? I liked how the bass wasn't overly obnoxious like a lot of rap songs. The guy did pretty well with the lyrics, only thing I didn't like was the bad language lol.

Pretty nice, pleasantly surprised.

Never Let Me Go-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMBTvuUlm98&feature=mr_meh&list=ULhBvjUh7bHXY&playnext=0

I decided to listen to this song again. And it never fails to leave me breathless. I won't talk about the instrument since it might be a paragraph. The video is hazy but touching... Sounds like a Florence + The Machines' version "Halo".
I guess I'm reviewing this?

Song is okay. I mean, when it comes to these types of songs, I've heard better. Apparently this is from some show or episode? Don't recognize it in that sort of medium. The music video does carry some emotional weight, but it won't effect the score here. Honestly, while her voice is powerful and good, it just feels out of rhythm with the music. Something is missing, and if they could get the flow down, it would be a bit better. Also, it does feel like the song has one too many shifts, and should just be more of a one dimensional or two song.

The handclaps in the beginning are cool.

Wayyy too much voice modulation going on here.

I like the random "SIGMUND FREUD" thrown in the middle of the lyrics. wtf?

i'm actually kinda appalled at this song. this is worse than every demi lovato and kelly clarkson song combined. it's one thing to be repetitive, but it's so much worse when the hook is intensely grating and musically empty. the production sounds like a beginner's first Frooty Loop project.

literally the only thing I like are those handclaps. wtf Madonna. wtf. was this actually the official theme of the movie? how far we have fallen since the days of Nobody Does it Better

Ouch! I felt that from here! lol

Is this a sci-fi soundtrack or something? *guitars come in*

Oooh! Nvm, nice buildup! I Love it already! Strangely. Ok, first I like rap, now I don't mind screeching? O.o It's actually very nice! The screeching isn't annoying, and the music is very well done. It was very hard to tell what he was saying, but who cares! The music is great and more than makes up for it :3

Really like the slower musical parts which I guess were the "verses"

It's like a mix of electronic music and rock, it's different.

Omg, I'm in love with the bridge! Beautiful, just beautiful. No screeching and nice vocals surprisingly.

Can I just give it a 5/5 even though it hasn't ended yet? D: lol

You have put me between a rock and a hard place. I just have this personal belief in regards to people who can't sing...well they shouldn't be given any credit. In this case, we all know Britney cannot sing with all the evidence on the internet. She synthesizes her voice far beyond belief.

With that being said, I do acknowledge this song is catchy, has a nice beat to it, and it does everything a pop song is supposed to do. Have a nice build up to the chorus, and then that hook just gets you. However, you can replace the singer with anyone else and it's the same thing.

So yay to the beat, nay to the singer. Britney is an entertainer, and I refuse to think of entertainer as the same as singing.

I'll just give this two scores.

The Music:

No way!
I'll pass...
It's alright...
I can stream it...
Give me the album! Now!

Britney Spears:

I hate her.

Now for the latest Bond theme...

Adele :D

Love the slow rythms and buildup, her voice sounds beautiful with this song. The lyrics are pretty, the bridge is suspenseful, definitely made for this movie, lol.

Whoah there, magnificent ending! All the instruments come in and she blows you away with perfect vocals <3

Beautiful song, only thing I didn't like about it was the chorus was somewhat awkward at first because of the way she sang the lyrics, "Let the skyFALL, when it crumBLES, we will stand TALL..."

Lol still a nice song :3

Catchy, but for all the wrong reasons. I hated this song when it came out. Nothing-special lyrics, eh, what the **** is there to review? It's your everyday generic dance pop song. **** lyrics, uninspired vox, pretty much just horrible, horrible music. That's it. I don't know, maybe if I was piss drunk at a club I'd never go, I'd probably dance to it or whatever or something iunno....

Ever since my brother died, I've been addicted to this band. Paul Westerberg, again, is God. If you're a Smiths fan, you will love this song.

The drum beat and guitar don't change a lot through the song. There was nothing exciting about the song that would make me want to listen to it again. It's the same drum beat and guitar melody almost the whole time, the ending is a little different but not enough. The good thing about the song is that it was a relaxing.

I haven't messed much with Evanescence, but I think I know enough about them to be surprised if I were to hear anything from them that's lighthearted or fun. This song is not either, but it's softer than singles I've heard of theirs before, which is not a bad thing.
That piano is pretty stagnant. But when everything comes into play (piano strings and voice) like from 2:23 on, it's fairly enjoyable, especially the verse right after that time. She's a ****ing fantastic vocalist. It's too bad she's singing about rain clouds and not-being-broken and *jerking-off motion*
I wouldn't download it, but it wasn't a waste of time.
