I've been having some troubles with the "Search" feature. No matter how long my search word(s) are it says the same message:

vBulletin Message
The search term you specified (2) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.

Help?

i dont know if this has been brought up, but will there ever be more avatars to choose from? i'm mainly speaking of brawl avatars because it looks like the last time new ones were added was from last year.. i was just thinking that since there has been some new characters added, it would make sense to update the avatars.
Can an admin or mod please reply to this? thankyou

Just a question out of general wonder and curiosity on my side.
I recently reported a guy for advertising, and he is now banned.

I just wanna know, when I sent the “report” , what happened to it?
Who read it? I just would like to know the system.

The report is emailed to whoever runs the room the post was in, and to supermods

I was under the impression that we got to keep our custom avatar and title even after premium expired, yet here I am, avatar-less and with the generic title... Is this just a bug in the system?

Yep, check the announcement discussion room, there's a topic there to post in if you lost an avatar due to premmieness expiring.

There was a problem yesterday in which i could not post on the forums, it kept saying "our forum requires that you wait 30 seconds in between posts." It's gone now, but i couldn't post all yesterday. And no, I wasn't double posting.

Yeah, Kiki fixed that, though it might pop up again.

And Kiki's aware of the search thing and let Gid know.

No.
Rubbish bin serves as a place to move spam topics there for archival purposes rather than just simply deleting said topics. Nothing more. Allowing it to be viewed by the public would serve no purpose.
Maybe it can serve as an example of what NOT to do. Read only, of course :p

heh, true. However, are you suggesting that allowing the rubbish bin to be made read only would ameliorate the number of spam threads created on this site? I think it has already been made evident enough what kinds of threads are acceptable and not to our posters. I think the posters already know that pornographic threads or threads that are flat out spam are not allowed on this forum (two types of topics that the rubbish bin consists of). It doesn't take making the rubbish bin read only to tell them that those types of topics are unacceptable.

I dunno, I think making the recycle bin read only would only be distracting. Just my thought.

Not to mention it's also where we stick those advertising topics too.

Regarding the SBRoom,
With Brawl's release, we all know that this poor forum is going to be ***** with hundreds of new members. With common knowledge that 90% of all internet users are in fact stupid, it's only safe to assume that the 'General Brawl Discussion' forum will be packed with useless information, leaving us 'Not pro, but still smart' smashers in the dust. I understand the SBR was originally made for 'Mature Smash Discussion', but since then has evolved to a 'You don't get in unless you're a pro, or have made some sort of major breakthrough in the smash community' sort of thing.

Is there a way rules can be bent, and mature members can be admitted into the SBR once again? Or maybe make it so that there's a read-only system? A sort of half-admission if you know what I mean.

So pretty much, I'm just afraid of being mauled by idiots in the General Brawl rooms, but at the same time, I'm sure there are other people that are much more worthy of the SBR than me. There needs to be a middle.

I really have to agree with Xsyven here. I really dont want to sift through 200 pages of spam. A read only sounds good. I dont see how you could disagree other then too many people viewing one room (if that can even happen).

I am disconected from the Brawl rooms, so I cannot truly speak on this, but the main problem with having a room like the SBroom "read only" is that people outside of it would just make topics to talk about what's being discussed in the Sbroom

I'm ranked #9 in Utah, but sadly, there's no way in hell I'm going to be winning OC4 next summer, and I'm too busy to find any breakthrough discoveries in the world of smash.

Unless the standards to the SBR are lowered, I think there needs to be some sort of middle. It seems like right now, we have Smash Steerage and Smash VIP Lounge.

Even if that was the case, wouldn't those topics be better than 90% of the ones you KNOW are going to be created? I do understand what you are saying about having the same tread in two different rooms. I think some of the newer members may have some legit information about things. Sure you would have to close a few "This is what they are saying in the SBroom" threads, but come on, when brawl is released your going to be closing like 3000 threads a day.

Rar, I was so tempted to answer the question on the "Registered Users" thing. Darn rules say I can't...
Lucky mods can be helpful…

Anyways, all this talk about BRoomers and such as reminded me of summat I have been interested in asking for a while.
When Brawl is released, will there be a room made for it? A BRoomers room?
Like, I dunno, BBRoomers or something cheesy? Or is this what normal BRoomers will be used for?

I know I'm not a member of any of these things, but I'm just curious.

The Smash Broom is what will be used, since it's "Smash" Broom, not "Melee" BRoom.

You're argument is that we're going to be closing so many threads so lets have more for us to close? he SBroom will be going on about how X seems overpowered, no it isn't, this stage should be banned, no wai, and so forth that's going to be going on in the main room.

Zacoftheaxes: There's a stickied topic in the Lighthouse for Friend codes, but with Brawl, we'll 99% chance have a bit on the side, like Wii numbers, where Brawl Codes can go.

I know I'm not going to win, I just thought it was a cool idea. I'm excited about the release as well as everybody else. I don't want to get left behind and so on.

Don't hate.
