i dont agree, people usually try to play the first time with unknow players and if the level is ok they keep on playing lol

I find this happens with playing excellent on EGX, btu never on p2p

When someone joins my p2p they usually play for a while where as people i never seen before will sometimes join my games on EGX, play 1 or 2 matches then leave and come back on good >_<

What's up d00ds? I am Mike Green aka dookdigity. I can't believe I waited this long to join this section of SWF. I am a Smash 64 player from AZ. I usually only travel to play Brawl (yeah it is lame, but fun) but i want to get some 64 tournaments under my belt. So I am just saying hello for now. Hello.

Also I will be willing to fly anywhere in the US for a Smash64 Fest. As long as i have a ride to and from the airport I can be in Cali or anywhere within the hour...or whenever the next flight is. I will be in Philidelphia next weekend for COT4. If there are any 64 players out there PM me for a good time, heh.

Wouldn't it be so cool that Kaillera servers like EGX used the system of p2p as default? I've thought of it since long ago. No problems about connection, lag and delay anymore, besides playing more than 2 of course.

I might be too serious, but I didn't laugh. Probably because by now it's so normal I can't laugh. The thought of that makes me smile.

And Surri is right Nixxon. Getting P2P if you're not "pro" is hard on EGX unless you're well known, or at least semi-known. Why it's a bit hard to get into the scene if you beat Kaillera nubbies, but not quite up there with good peeps.

Speaking of which, I did scrim TF2, and it was fun. First match was a blowout, we won by a longshot [teams were staaaaaacked]. Second match, we lost good. I blame me getting nervous, and not being able to properly defend the medic.

EDIT: Someone might be able to help you. I dunno about texture hacks.

from the readme i translated it says u need project 64 1.7 which is a beta and u hafta find it
but i dont know what video plugin to use or if i need a different version of the smash bros rom

Attention 64 players!

If anyone is interested, there is a large-scale Melee/64 tournament in Saskatchewan, Canada... So if you're in the contiguous United States or anywhere throughout Canada, you should consider going! Free housing! Food will likely be included with a door fee! For more information visit this thread (LINK).

People are mostly going for Melee, but will likely enter the 64 tournament as well due to the raffling of prizes at the end of the tournament! Every event you enter is another raffle ticket for things like an iPod, LCD TV, controllers, and other stuff.

Oh and the host is upping the entry to $10/person.

This may seem like a lame advertisement or some **** but really I'm excited for it and I want to make it big and make a ton of people come to make it as fun and awesome as possible . We're probably getting two cars from Washington, there are people coming from BC, Montreal, Alberta and all over!

EGx people are hilarious, when I played on there for a short while before realizing p2p was way better, all I encountered were smashers who had massive egos and took themselves way too seriously (like the 30-character-long clan names etc.) if they were good, and smashers who were the worst sports of all time if they were bad.

At least I admit to having no life, but I couldn't get one even if I wanted one anymore. Believe me I've tried.

Look in the right places and you can turn this situation around with hard work... not generic hard work but effort and thought in the right places with the right... "guidance"
