what do you mean? i didn't change the spawn points any, just the respawn.

Before Summit+ is finalized, can you make the lower portion of the walls wall-jump-able with BrawlWall? (I personally think this should be done with all stages with walls going all the way down for B+.)

fffffffffffff why is it not loading now!? i change the spawns and it refuses to load!

edit: maestro, you try fixing the spawn points. i moved them around and now it won't load...

Yay Summit+

I really like what you guys have done with it. Is the hole in the right platform gone and are the graphics smoother (main iceberg has an ugly jagged cut)? Did you guys bother making the upper platforms non-slippery? Spawn points could be troublesome and the wall jump thing.

Anything you'd like me to test?

the link works, but every time i edit it in brawlwall now it crashes in-game... as for that jagged cut, thats an easy fix once i'm able to edit it... could it possibly be the texture fix thats causing it?

75m's camera is so bad, that if both players go to the far right and far left sides of the stage, the camera won't even be able to keep both of them on screen.

Also, the ugly jagged cut on Summit is in the original texture in vbrawl, signifying where the mountain falls off.

we can swap stage cameras... we've been able to do it for a while. just because it has a bad camera isn't a reason to drop it. give it, say, BF's camera. its not hard.

yes, but in another pac i made i moved it down and you can't see the line anymore.

I just put FD with wall ledges and WarioWare with jumpable walls on the front page. People keep are going to keep asking for fixes like that so you can add those to the OP if you want Maestro. Don't credit me, not like it hasn't been done and it literally took 1 minute. Just so everyone knows, Kryal has made it extremely easy to change stage collisions. ANYONE can do it. Just select the plane and change its properties, untick no walljump, untick ceiling and check right/left wall etc.

or go to brawl wall, look for the surface you want to edit, and if you want can't wall jump it, change it to none.

edit: i've got the crack in the mountain removed and i'm looking at adjusting the spawn points in BBox (BWall is being weird, so i'll try fixing the walls last). right now its looking good for a realease today. :)

my OP has been updated with the most recent version of summit+. unfortunately, i can't make the walls jumpable below the blast line because every time i run it through BrawlWall it crashes in-game. i can try the collision app in BBox, though, so i'll probably have that fixed soon (assuming it works >___<).

Alright I did some playing on the new release of Summit+ and in short I will say that I cannot get enough of it. I kept beating up on level 9s, and sliding on ice so fun. I absolutely love what has been done with Summit+ and i cannot wait for more stages to be released (*coughSMI+cough*), excuse me, :D

Oh and i should be a little more thorough and say that Summit+ loaded up fine, that hole of a brick was gone, wall jumping worked fine (funny watching a Sonic failing to save his life with multiple wall jumps), everything played fine, and I noticed zero issues.

I just want to freeze the Summit and reverse NPC while leaving everything else alone.

so, summit is good. glad to hear that. i'm getting mixed opinions on DP+... mostly negative... i really think we should make the bulborb permanent and not eat people. i wish the codes weren't so hard to make so i could just try it out... anyway, BB+ plays better that before, but its still really crazy. i'm thinking a slight slow down of the stage.. maybe 1.5 instead of 1.7 would work better. more tests... always more tests...

Yeah, I do think 1.5 is better for BB+. I initially set it to 1.5 when I first heard about the stage and tried it, but since everyone else was using 1.7, I just switched to that.

Also, I'm going to list all walls that could be made to be able to be wall-jumped off of that aren't already. The "importance" factor that I used are my opinions based mainly on how much the individual stage could benefit from it, and not really based on stage legality (except for maybe YI:M). Also, if I say just "wall" instead of something like "lower wall", take it as the lower portion of the wall. (When I say just "wall", it probably because the part that is wall-jump-able is pretty small.)
Castle Seige
  • 1st transformation's stage body's walls (very important)
  • 3rd transformation's stage's trunk (mildly important)
Delfino Plaza
  • Lower walls of Shine Sprite Tower (not that important)
  • Right wall of the building on the transformation where you're on the roof (mildly important)
Distant Planet
  • Wall at the end of the slope (very important)
Green Hill Zone
  • The walls (when stage parts are broken) (mildly important)
Halberd
  • The Halberd's lower walls (mildly important)
Luigi's Mansion
  • The stage's trunk at the bottom (definitely not that important)
Mushroomy Kingdom 1-2
  • Stage Body's walls (pretty important)
Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2
  • The stage's trunk (mildly important)
Port Town Aero Dive
  • The lower portion of all of the walls for the stop right after the "Wall" (not that to mildly important)
Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
  • Stage Body's walls (very important)
Yoshi's Island Melee
  • The lower portion of the walls (not that important now, but after YI:Melee+, the very important)

Also, if we ever fix up Spear Pillar, the ceiling of the ledges definitely needs to be made into walls.

hey froho, did you manage to fix Summit+'s spawn points, or do you still need me to look at it? Also, I'd love to have an updated pic with the graphical fixes in for the OP.
nah, i fixed it. it just takes longer to do it in bbox than bwall, but i got it.

as for making walls jumpable, i think all of the important to mildly important one should be done (face it, nobody is going to survive luigi's from there... at least no one who can wall jump).

fun stuff in this post!



this is the basic layout for DP+. lets take a look, shall we?

Changes:
~Left ledge no longer grabbable/ground directly above former ledge is now a wall (no air stalling for jiggs/wario)
~Permanent water! code makes it so once the match starts you have a little while before water continuously flows, effectively removing the walk off (though it would be gone anyway thanks to turning the ground between the stage and the camera into a wall)
~Friendly bulborb! PK is making me another code for this that removes the bulborb's ability to eat you. this means it functions as a regular platform hat comes for a while to watch and then leaves.
~Wall jumpable below camera.

this is one of the few stages i can't release due to the wbr not officially releasing the codes that go with it. however, you can look forward to this baby in the B+/-/B DLC pacs (assuming AA wants it for BB >_>).

Windmill is weird...sometimes it lets you go through it; sometimes it doesn't. It's easier to go through it on the left side from what I've seen so far. I'm continuing to test... It's too bad I have to constantly go restart and hope it randoms it for a 30-second test. :ohwell:

EDIT: Okay, I got it! You CAN'T pass through it going Counter-Clockwise, and you ALWAYS pass through it (as in you can't even land on the top) going Clockwise. If that makes any sense.

So what did you make a mistake on, Maestro? And is the fix's download going to up soon (so I can put it in my SD Card while it's still in my computer), or should I just go test/try out Distant Planet?

PS: If you haven't already noticed, I edited my last post with more info on what happened.

Messed up windmill :), you can't step on it at all. You go through it all the time and it teleported me to death(to the right blast zone if it matters)
EDIT: Can you guys tell me what to use to get the codes in there? I'm dying to get DP+ and Summit+, later on BB+

Okay, so Jigglypuff and Wario can still so the edge stall thing on Distant Planet...but just at a different place, now... :ohwell:
And making the whole thing a wall would make the stage really hard to play on since they can't use the momentum of the water to jump off of the slope (or jump off it at all if you're not a wall jumper), I would guess. But it doesn't hurt to try (but then spawn points would be to be moved).
