From my understanding, Tsuteto hasn't done too much offline. On the other hand; I have.
Since July of 2010, I have been attending local tournaments near my hometown; and, have taken first place in both Singles and Doubles (with the exception of the first time Doubles was played, in which I got 2nd), going all Zelda in each tournament. The most recent tournament was this past Saturday, January 29th, in which I once again took first. Based on those listed under Zelda for the top 5 in North America, I'd say I should be fifth on this list.

In order, here's a link to all of the tournament pages:

It wasn't until after the July tournament that I convinced the TO to use tio for tournament brackets, so there's no bracket for the July tournament. Also, the January results were just submitted today, so the brackets aren't up yet, but they will be soon enough.

Also, most of the matches are recorded and uploaded to Youtube, so I'll leave a link to the TO's Youtube channel if you wish to browse videos of my gameplay:

hmmm I dont know man i've never really heard of any of the players who attended these tournaments,that coupled with fact that every tournament was a local with only 2 going over 10 people. I dont think you qualify sir just my two cents.

Linkz! Good seeing ya post on SWF. You should definitely post more!

Reason I didn't put you in the top 5 is because Tsuteto had recent results. Honestly, you and him could be interchangeable but I want to see some tourneys with names from ya. It is one thing to dominate your area like you are but show me you can produce close to that when there are greater quality opponents.

Idunno man. This guy in the number four spot has nearly twice as many extra vowels as me, which means he is that many times more powerful than I am :O .

Anyways, I have some random words of wisdom/nonsense. I was disappointed and discouraged enough when I lost my number one spot (essentially #1, bc there can never be an accurate ranking for any player). I know now that it's not all that big a deal, but I want to get back up to the top, not for "being the best player with 'so-and-so'," but to break past my own limits before I finally quit this game completely.

I don't think it's really an ego thing at all, but mostly has to do with the desire to fulfill one's potential in any given activity they enjoy doing...well personally I like to feel that I've gone completely beyond what "should" be capable of me. That doesn't always mean you have to be the best by any means. When I ran track in H.S., I was among the bottom 3 players on our team of 30-35ish ppl. Before I quit that, I managed to somehow land a spot on our "A" team, the top 6 players. I felt almost absolutely sure that I wasn't "meant" to make it there, and at that point I was satisfied and really didn't feel the need to try and make it any further, so I quit after a mere year. Maybe this was a stupid thing to mention, but the point I'm trying to make is that self-fulfillment is an amazing feeling, and I recommend anyone to shoot for it in anything they really want to. :cool:

In SSBB, I just don't feel completely fulfilled yet, and I feel that I can take it not only where I was before, but much, much higher than that. If I can't do it, then oh well it's not like it's the end of the world. I'm going to just take it seriously over this year, and whatever happens I'll accept...seriously mentally at least. I don't plan on spending THAT much time practicing it and all, but that's somewhat less of an issue with this game compared to other things I compete in. For instance, once you reach a certain level in Brawl, there's rarely anything so significant that you need to completely change the fundamentals of competitive play.
...Oh yeah, just don't let one thing you're really into take over your life >_>

I think Sassy will be on that ZSS list soon, he's getting better exponentially

Edit: @Vato: my Ness is pretty good. It's probably the smoothest Ness. When it comes to actually beating good players...Fow and Shaky got me by a long shot

Fuujin's spot is more or less a result of who has brought in respectable results lately. Fuujin has decent results as well as Tsuteto and 3x. Linkz and most of the other AiB Zeldas need tourneys with names lol.

I honestly dunno what to do with spots 4 & 5 but I think they're deserving for now lol.

@Tom-FACTOR: I agree with Mata needing addition. As far as <3, it's been a long time since he's been in a tourney. I'd have him up there without a doubt but he's been very VERY inactive.

@Fuujin: Riot has singles results but DM I can agree with you on. He hasn't given results for a long time, but he's up there on merit I suppose. I would like to see some results from DM :awesome:

Where does it say that it is only singles results and only in the last few months?

Also I agree with fats. Kate is first Zelda, Then Riot. Then etc. etc. etc.

Yea I always use 50/50. Some tourneys I lean on one or another depending on my MUs but 50/50 lol.

I see your case to go in front of DM based on being more active but DM is still a more established Zelda; although, if he's inactive for much longer, I wouldn't really mind bumping you up.

EDIT: Riot! You're right, in doesn't really say singles only or recent results. I heard Kate is pretty legit lol.

If this list was based on doubles placements would be very different.
This is like the first time doubles has even been brought up on this.

I was reading over this thread, and I think Linkz has a point in terms of the fifth spot. Yes, his tournaments are local, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he doesn't just win, he DOMINATES these things. I went to the latest one, and he is incredibly skilled with Zelda. If the only thing holding him back is lack of out of region results, then that's a shame, because I think that he would rank even higher if he went out of region.

Just my two cents. Considering I'm no one in particular, take it for what it's worth.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, I'll try to get more active around here. AIB's my home, but it never hurt having a 2nd house. ^^

Well, my tourney from Saturday is recent for me. I took first once again in Singles. I know I don't have any noticeable people come to my local tourneys, but that doesn't mean that I'm not good enough to place on this list. The least that can happen is you giving me a chance on this thing. If someone comes along that places really well and has beaten noticeable players, I'll gladly step down problem free. However, I don't see anyone like that here atm so...
