what about when doubles / singles is drawing to a close and theres only a few matches left,

I think the plan is for everyone to watch those finals matches to give them a more exciting atmosphere. So I doubt it.

We would like people to watch the Finals, however we will be starting pools asap so that we can get it done sooner. SO for Doubles it might just be the Grand Finals we stop all the matches for. For Singles though, it would turn off the tvs for all the finals (Winners, Losers, Grand).

As for friendlies, we will tell you specifically when you can play them. Don't worry, there will be times when you are able to, just don't do it without out permission. We will allocate TVs for friendlies.

Don't get me wrong, your under no obligation to watch the matches. We can't force you to do that. You just wont be able to play while they are on. ;D

No pay no play is horribly evil to us, especially if we travel a good 1:30-2 hours to get there... ._.
Can't I register, and if my match comes up, pit my opponent against my substitute partner, Sucky? (Level 9 CPU Kirby. Green complexion.) That'd give me a whole extra match to try and get there...

As for me being Captain... Whoever's in my team we'll democratically vote/discuss/argue/have a match to decide who gets to go next. I just get the last word ^^;

At some point, we will designate a TV/TVs for friendlies as the bracket proceeds. If all goes as intended, I will have my home PC at the tourney for music, transfers of dataz. It also has Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter IV, so those who wanna get Blanka'd, come git some. XD

Alright I signed up on All Is Brawl and registered the tourney. You can find it here. If everyone could confirm their attendance ASAP that would be awesome. It would make registration and organizing brackets/pools easier for Vermy and I.


A few quick notes:

- People bringing TVs aim to get to the venue at about 11:45, so that we can get everything ready to go in and set up.
- Added a 25 ledge grab limit to Singles only. If the match times out, check the ledge grab limit at the results screen. If a player has over 25, then they forfeit the match. If neither or both players have over 25, then stock/percent is considered normally.
- The venue fee will not be waived for people bringing full set ups.
- I will be bringing an Esky with a selection of cheap soft drink that people can buy at a cheap price.
- With the match recording, apart from the finals matches, I don't mind who commentates on what. For the finals, Vermy and myself will choose which people can commentate. If there are any disputes that can't be solved amongst yourselves, bring them to us and we will give the final verdict.
- Please try and bring the correct change for entry to the tournament events. The less we have to mess around with change the better. >_>
- Pools will be seeded according to the Victorian Brawl Power Rankings.
- I will be bringing my USB to take home as many finals matches as possible to try to upload. Also I have the entire series of There Will Be Brawl if anyone is interested :D
- Above all, have fun! ;3

Also, about textures: they are fine, as long as they aren't overly obtrusive or distracting. Also, if somebody you are playing doesn't want to use textures, you don't play with textures. Some people find them really distracting.
