I would say the Great Fox Melee stage. With the low ceiling, I saw a video of Sonic star killing a Marth 55% or so. That is the lowest I've ever seen Sonic kill with direct attacks.

With the video, this technique actually works like you described.

I actually agree with you.I think I've killed maybe two people, ever, with a footstool. I've for the most part given up on using them like that, because it usually killed ME. I'm just trying to say, that they're not 100% completely useless.

Footstooling has plenty of use. It acts as a spike, so if you can pull it off on a recovering character, it will send them in a downward spiral that will probably kill them. Though, it is hard to land on them just right to do it. And, sorry for sucking too much for you, meanie. I can get the...

Because I like Metroid so much, I've somewhat mained Samus. I say somewhat because I haven't kept up with everything discovered like I have with Sonic, so it's only a slight main. I did this, but not to the level you're mentioning. Instead of sending them almost straight as an arrow up like the up smash is supposed to, it sends them sideways 45 degrees ABOVE the horizontal (but again, still not straight up). I will admit, I'm probably just not doing it perfectly yet.

I found this bloody useless. I either actually go through my opponent (Sonic passes right through them somehow), or it hits them away before a footstool can even happen,or makes my do my "jump out of a spin" move. I did, against three different 4 different characters, did not get it to work...

I have tried for three hours to do well against a lv 9 cpu Pika (I know, pathetic), and it doesn't happen. The pissy little rat has me beat in range, priority, attack speed, attack damage, attack knockback, and everything else that isn't recovery. A forward smash is near impossible to hit him...
