In Melee, the only playable character to have an English dubbed voice was Jigglypuff (and one or two others maybe, I can't think who though, perhaps Peach). Fox and Falco had simply had their Japanese speech cut, which is why you get Engrish from those two.

I've always played as the characters from the games I liked, but Smash got me into some other games that I really like now which are Zelda, Kirby and Fire Emblem, so that's more characters for me to use!
