To Those Who Favor Brawl, Let's Finally Admit It...

Wow I come back after a few months of not reading this section and everything's still the same. Melee Elitism everywhere. Brawl takes practice like any other fighting game, no it's not a totally level playing field. Sure you may not have super long combos or anything like wavedashing, but...

Ok someone help me to understand

I actually do better in 1 v 1s, I do so badly in Free For All games. I can just concentrate on using traps much more effectively. The key with Snake is stage control and using tilts.

    Why is Snake winning tournaments?

Snake's an unconventional character that people probably aren't used to. His standard attacks are quite strong as well. Brawl's low emphasis on technical tricks per-say and more on player strategy seems to make Snake a great character.

~~ Into the Fray: A Snake Survival Guide ~~

    Superb guide

    Grab invicibility from Grenades

He still gets damaged, albeit not as much. He does a cool dodge move automatically so he doesn't flinch.

    Tripping and usefulness.

I'd say it's helped me more than it's hurt me. I've dodged attacks when tripping. I can only count maybe two times where I've actually tripped into an attack. Most of the time I'm just running and trip when my opponent is far enough so I'm safe. It's annoying, but it's not game breaking, at...

The Logic Behind "Brawl is easier than Melee"

I wasn't on Smashboards for so long, but I am pretty sure it didn't just take a few months to find all that stuff. Even if Brawl is maxed out from a technique standpoint, nothing changes about my preference of Brawl over Melee. Reliance on techniques and combos that weren't really meant to...

Brawl Online: Pathetic. So let's do something about it.

This can be resolved by having friends in the friend list, ones that are near and that you know will not lag you up by downloading in the background. I've only gotten a few on my list, and they don't play everyday, but at a forum like this, or on a site like WifiWars, one should be able to find...

Tripping: Is it TRULY that annoying?

I don't find it THAT annoying. I've only gotten in a bad situation with it once or twice. Hell, it's actually served as a dodge a few times  I imagine the tourney people vehemently hate it, but it can't be helped.

Psycho Snake Tricksies -Technique video by Psycho ******

The sliding thing has to be done really fast, hit A again right after you initiate the dash attack. Of course it's a lot easier with the C-Stick, though I'm trying to use the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo so it's harder. Great stuff Psycho, you're my hero. The grenade edgeguard at the end was awesome.

Debunking the misconception: Wiimote and Nunchuk players are n00bs

I prefer the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo outside of the lack of C-Stick. The Wii Condom makes it very comfortable. I use the default scheme except I change the down D-Pad to jump and C to grab.

Who agrees that Melee>Brawl? (more inside)

Just because you're worse with one game doesn't make that game worse.

Wiimote and nunchuck will offer best experience

The wiimote/nunchuck is awesome for me because your hands aren't so close, you can put them in any position you want
