Fine, they "introduced" an R18+ classification, Mr. Pedantic -_- I don't think there's anything to really suggest that most of those games would have been censored had the R18+ classification not been utilised. The predecessors of several of those games (God of War 3, Dead Island, Ninja Gaiden...

I guess it comes down to personal opinion then, as I don't think all the balancing in the world could have saved it. If Smash ended everything with a meter-building Final Smash, I sincerely doubt it would have ever made it to EVO.

The problem with PSAS is that it wasn't fundamentally the same as Smash, with very different mechanics that suffocated the life out of any tournament viability it may have had. Sure it was a party game with items and similar physics, but that's where the similarities ended. Most fighting games...

It could make it into EVO, but it might not be a main event and be relegated to a side event, depending on how it pans out tournament-wise. Look at PSABR - the game that was openly advertised at EVO before its release...no main event because it was boring, repetitive, and rejected by the FGC...

It would be dopey, just like most anime interpretations of fighting games. They're just mishandled a lot, and a competent plot tends to be the common weakness.

It's likely that I'll get the Amiibo figure for Samus sheerly for the fact that it's Samus, rather than any need for a CPU bot. Marth also remains the possibility, but the rest are probably a no-go. Not at that individual pricing, anyway.

I like Chris G's methods personally. It's not exactly the easiest technique on the block to execute, and whilst being repetitive it gets the job done. Weirdly enough, I'm less enthused by Flocker's Zero strategy.
