    Technical issues

just about everything you said is true. and when in the learning stage lower level cps or empty controllers are the best things to learn on. however, i did not write what i did just for him, but for other people as well. as to how level 9's approach and don't combo and not edge guarding...

    Technical issues

once again i am here to tell you that playing level 9 cps does not, i repeat does not make you worse at the game unless you play to win. if you remember that you are practicing then there are no better cps to pressure you and force you to be able to execute on command or at will. level one...

approaching: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=102436 it's not fox specific, but it should still be pretty helpful.

    wavedashing out of shield.

i considered this way and tried to learn it. but in the end i found it much easier just to learn to shield and wavedash with the same button. the delay caused by having to transfer the shield could be problematic eventually (i don't know though), but i'd bet you could get it to be fast if you...

    Dammit

i also don't seem to have any trouble finding a new copy... it's usually just about the only game that still appears new for the gamecube. but if you do get another copy, you should try mango's peanut butter trick on the old copy

    Playing Cpu's

you may be the first person ever to agree with my point of view, even if you do so only partially. There is nothing wrong with playing level 9s, so long as you remember that you are training, you cannot play to win. if you don't take advantage of their stupidity (which you certainly don't have...

powershielding occurs when you fully depress L/R within a couple frames prior to being hit

    CG vs fox and falco

is doing a pivot grab of any length going to prevent getting shined, or do you have to be a certain distance away?

    wavedashing out of shield.

you also don't have to press L/R all the way down to get a regular shield (which is what elven was talking about) so theoretically you could wavedash out of shield using just L or just R without ever "letting go" at all. in other words, if you shield without pressing L/R all the way down, you...

    wavedashing out of shield.

you may want to specify what you mean by "the right way." for doing it fast or "properly" you really just need quick fingers and/or good coordination between your left and right hands, etc. wavedashing out of shield is theoretically exactly the same as a normal wavedash, but you have to be...
