I will now be taking pre-registration. It is not required to enter the tournament, but I will try to give discounts to people who do it, and it helps speed things up at the actual event. Anyone that wants to get a head-start on it can give me the following information (preferably all info; if you're uncertain about something, say so, otherwise I'll assume you're 100% sure) either in this thread, by AIM, or by MSN:

Smash name: either your username here on SWF, or whatever you prefer to be called in the tournament
*Real name: first name + last name (or last initial)
*Contact information: not entirely sure if I'll need this for everyone, but please give me some way of contacting you, either if it's through this website or by email/IM

*Need a place to stay?: if yes, let me know, and I'll work work something out
Events you are planning on entering: self-explanatory, just list whatever events you WISH to attend, and don't take into account which day they're happening on, since I haven't confirmed that yet
Which days you will be attending: list whether you will attend saturday, sunday, or both (please try to plan for both, because at this point I am still uncertain which events will be happening on each day)
Bringing equipment?: bring whatever you can, especially TV's and game consoles, and let me know how much stuff you're bring

About the smashfest, just in case I didn't mention this earlier. The friday smashfest is very likely going to be by invitation only. If I don't specifically say that a person can go, then it's assumed that they're not invited. It's not that I don't want everyone to play, it's that there's going to a limited amount of time, and this is mostly for traveling players (who aren't here often) and setting up equipment.

There's probably going to be a cap of around 20 players, which will include SFU smashfest regulars, top players, and traveling/OOP players. Anyone bringing a TV is also welcome, regardless of cap. I still want to know exactly who is coming though, so let me know if you want in on this, and I'll get back to you. (yes Eric, you're invited, lol)

I play low tiers all the time as well, and enjoy low tier tournaments, but right now I'm placing a higher priority on crew battles, since we didn't get to do them last time. Crews were hella fun at SFU6 (aka TS1) though, and I'd like that to happen again.

EDIT: Actually, we may have a low tier event at the smashfest, but idk, it depends if enough people want to do it. I'd be down, Ness/Pikachu ftw

I'll probably do a small low tier event at the smashfest. Obviously not everyone can be at it though, it's not gonna be huge.

As the date gets closer, I'll have a better idea of how the events will be scheduled. Low tier is still a possibility, but I want to give crew battles the priority.
