Can someone please help me with this stage, its fine except the textures are wrong (for some odd reason) and the main platform is not in the proper location, those are the only 2 problems and then I can release this along with Bingo Highway and another Sonic Stage, so any help would be very appreciated, I really need it Lol
There's not any tower in there? :urg: I guess I shouldn't hope for models that aren't in brawl in the first place, huh?

hmm, i made a stage by taking different stage builder models, and moving the models around in BBox, but when i play the stage in-game, all of the pieces are put together into one pile. they seem to be moved just fine in the collision editor. any help?
Is there an animation for the stage? You might need to use the model editor to select that animation and then change the translation (X/Y) of each object.

What about one of the Corneria skyscrapers? It seems like with a little texture work you could get one to look pretty good. All it is basically is just a tower frame with flashing forcefield walls.

I decided to do Melee Peach's Castle instead of Melee Great Bay for now. I ripped the textures from Melee and ripped a Peach's Castle model from Mario Kart.
OH MY GOD. PLEASE MAKE it Super Princess Peachy! :3 That would be AWESOME. I would LOVE to have that stage.

AND OH, I know this is unrelated. By I do make one other thing: MUSIC. Will you guys tell me what you think so far? It's a remix I'm working on of Lady Gaga's paparazzi.

make a animation inside the .brres file that has the models and copy the bind position to the animation and it should work in-game

^^ Are those meteors going to be animated? I wonder if you could make it so occasionally one goes in front of the screen. A small one. It'd be more realistic. :3

Wifi Dumper or something to that effect. I'm not sure since I've never used it. It basically streams the dump to a comp from your Wii as it happens, to my understanding.
WiiHTTPd, the D being for dumper, of course. :p

It's been a long time since I contributed to this thread, so since I got bored I made another background swap.



This is a stage that I've been wanting to use for a long time, but I never did anything with it (I did try to fix the original stage to be playable, but it was a lost cause).

Note that there is a platform under FD that's left over from the original stage, but it does not have collision data. I tried to delete the polygon but it glitched the game, so I left it there. You won't see it at all unless you use the unrestricted camera code anyway, so don't worry about it.

Few very small changes from the pictures. The crystal on the left in the second picture has been moved downward as it makes edgeguarding a pain. The same was done with another on the right and a crystal in the middle was moved up more.

There's an alpha-transparency issue with the main platform. If someone could fix that, I would be quite thankful for the efforts.

i have a question, i need a sugestion, i will do a stage over Delfino Plaza, but i don't know if i should do a simple texture(textures from sonic adventrue 1, so the stage will ahve teh beach from esmeralds coast, mountain from red mountain, etc) or reemplace all the stage with Green Hill zone, and chage the aniomation for the paltform to move in diferents aprt of GHZ, what's your opinion?

I think a full Sonic Adventure-themed island would be much more interesting than an island based solely on Green Hill Zone.

i was looking in the stage file and change all the position of the platforms moves will be very hard, so for now ti will be just a texture of Sonic Adventure

Yeah, that's what I meant. All different Sonic Adventure textures as opposed to the same GHZ textures everywhere.

I actually foun a way to extraxt the sonic adventrue texture so expect lot of Sonic adventure stages
oh and my next proyect will be Wind Valley, into the tornado, y can do the tornado but i haven't got idea what stage i need to put inside :/

Go to SceneData and replace that with SceneData from another stage (particularly the lighting).

I'm just going to repost this every once in a while until it gets on the OP so it won't get buried.

The next biggest thing after the 2D stage template...

The 3D stage template!!

This entire pack contains...

- 3 Tutorials: One for the stage, one for collisions (by Kryal), and one for .rel files
- A stage template allowing multiple models, but has one in by default for easy editing in one-model stages
- A static background, along with two moving ones
- First tutorial built into the stage (select MiscData[101] and read while editing)
- You can look at the stage in-game to see what the textures do. They all have text on them describing them.

I won't post the tutorial here, but the download only takes around 10 seconds, so don't whine.

NOTE: This template is only for semi-starters. I would NOT reccomend this for a first stage attempt.

What's next? A template for trophy stages. Just extract the trophy, put it in there, and make your collisions.

I have some things to ask/say about the template (the - phrases are from the guide in the template)

- Do not rename any models.

There should be no problem with renaming a single model O.o

- To have additional models in the stage, create a BRRES in 2.arc and change it's FileType to ModelData, then change it's FileIndex to 101.

Does this really work? I've never tried it, I know that having multiple modeldata[1] or modeldata[2] makes that the second with the same index is ignored. Are multiple modeldata[101] not ignored?

- Insert the MDL0's texture(s) into ModelData(2) and rename them properly.

You actually can make new texturedatas for the textures, importing the whole brres with the textures, and delete the unused ones, this saves time.

Good job with the template, this sure helps people to make their own stages ^^

PD: Ah, someone asked me but I don't know where was it, so I answer here. To delete the smoke and stars effects in final destination, just replace the ef_StgFinal in the final destination based stages for the file in other stages such as battlefield or wifi room. I think you can delete the file too, but I prefer replace and rename it. I think that if a second version of the template is done, this should be done to it first

PD2: To make the stages made with this template compatible with wifi room, just take the contents of modeldata[2] and import them to modeldata[1] (so modeldata[1] is a mix of modeldata[1] and modeldata[2]). This should make it able to be loaded as a stgcustom/wifi room with no problems
