The Chompy Diddy video is severely outdated. Nobody wants to see an average Diddy throw every banana and connect because the gannon didn't sheild or airdodge the whole match. He just spammed the wizard kick.

Fox has way more than shine for edgeguarding. Fair normally sends upward, but I don't believe it does during barrells and it's a pretty long lasting aerial. Rising dair is good too. Dair has more priority than all of Diddy's aerials.

Not sure if it was mentioned, as I didn't read this more than once, but you might want to include something about picking up bananas in the air instantaneously with the Grab-Air Dodge instead of the Shield-Air Dodge. Definitely speeds up your game with picking up bananas on platforms on stages...

Grab -> Fthrow -> Uair -> Grab -> Fthrow -> Uair -> finisher shouldn't work on Diddy at all. The only people this works on is extremely heavies or space animals. Even Grab -> Fthrow -> Utilt -> Bair should be hard to land. Just di up/ away and jump.

I tried to quick dash attack to pick up the banana but I did dsmash... My 2nd hit of fsmash loves to be anti-clutch.

Teach your teammate do be as comfortable with bananas as you are. My teammate also uses Diddy Kong and it works great.
