A few days ago, Sync sent me a text that simply said "i lost the venue for HOBO 32, im dumb bro." So i text him back to get more details and he tells me that the U of H venue owner literally decided that someone else will get the room at U of H and not us(apparently, showing ****** amputee porn was more important than letting us play smash). This means i (the LEGENDARY xyro) had 9-10 days to find a new venue. I called Funplex, they say NO. Ah whatever! I call Planet Zero, they say NO. Fine, i hated them anyway! I called The Drink Station, they said NO. I suddenly felt a bit of poop drip down my leg.....will i have to cancel HOBO......What do i do? Plan ABCD all failed!!!!! I didnt want to have to do this but i decided to pull out the big guns, i decided to call THE KING PIN: DE ANGELO! The moment he picked up the phone and i told him my problem he was like "sup dawg dis ya boi DA an eye roll inn da hay all day, BayBay!" I quickly got on google to translate this highly advanced foreign language and the results were STUNNING! De Angelo pretty much said(rough translation) "Ill call PLAY N TRADE and see if you can run an event there." So pretty much im moving HOBO 32 to PLAY N TRADE, its the one off of HW6 aka sorta next to funplex area.

The GOOD
There will be loads of FREE parking in front of PnT and behind PnT. Panda Express is to the right of PnT, Wendys is to the left of PnT and Mc Ds is across the street from PnT. This means there is plenty of food and AC(why is AC so important? read below) near by. I will auto have 10 tvs(good ones not the LCD/HD/LED ones) so if you guys could bring just wii's i would love you forever.
The BAD
PnT is like Gamestop/EB/GameCrazy which means it will be VERY small and packed due to the fact i think about 60(it could be less) players will be at this HOBO. This brings up another issue, the weather. Have a look at Saturdays expected temp in Houston Tx http://cdn.abclocal.go.com/three/ktrk/WWW_KTRK_5DAY_450x296.JPG Now combine THAT with the natural heat we all will produce.....ITS GONNA BE TASTY!!! On top of all that, We have only a LIMITED amount of chairs so ONLY the players PLAYING a TOURNAMENT MATCH will be able to sit in the chairs. Oh and if this wasnt already AMAZING i just found out how to make it EVEN BETTER..... according to PnT we MUST be out of the venue by 9pm.
PS: for the sake of time, there will be NO friendlies ONCE the tournament has started. So please get here EARLY to warm up and report your matches ASAP so we can have time for MMs/Friendlies/Side Event.

You guys are lucky because ive been through far worse situations(hobo 19/quakecon) so this "problem" we face is a PIECE of CAKE for me and i could most likely do it while taking a poopsies. But seriously, since this is my last HOBO for a while(my daughter will be born in july) i will be 110% focused on getting 1vs1 and 2vs2 done ON TIME and still allow time for MMs or friendlies( i cannot promise that the side event will happen anymore). Sync AND De Angelo have offered to help run this event with me so TRUST me when i say that this event WILL work out fine and you WILL have fun. You have my word!

trust me, PnT said their internet is perfect and RockeTrainer said he can stream if reigun doesnt show. beside, most all of our wiis can record so your matches will be online for sure.
also, MM and friendlies will go before side event.
and yea if for some reason we need to finish at an apartment, we can. EASILY

F mid tier doubles, there will not be time to do it, especially with 60+ people going. You gotta remember this is going to be one of the biggest HOBOs in a while.

I just want to say that im glad to help xyro and the smash community out in anyway possible. Its been a long time since we have used play n trade so everyone get hype cause its going down like a good year blimp! Im going to cut through the chatter and make this short.
Panda Express: Next door will have FREE FOOD ALL DAY LONG. 2 entrees and a drink so you know what that means. You dont have to spend any extra money on food or drinks when you can get it for FREE!
AirbrushKing Sponsorship: I will be sponsoring a airbrushed brawl controller bag to first place only so lets see who will get the bag. Youve seen these bags on Gnes/Razer/Xyro/Everybody! For those who need a reminder (click here) I will also be selling the bags at 25$ so if you want 1, pm me to reserve or let me know when I take your venue and give you your wristband. Due to this venue change, I may no longer go now. I'm not in the mood to drive to Houston, stay in a crowded venue full of hot and sweaty males, at a place where mm's and friendlies are going to be hard to squeeze in. Not to mention the lack of seats.
Buttt, I'm a trooper. So we'll see what happens, I guess I'll leave it up to my "carpool" to decide.
Oh yeah, and the only event I was really looking forward to was Mid tier doubles. Awesome. At least Xyro pulled this out of his *** and got us a venue! Kudos to him

The venue will not be hot because he will set the temperature as low as I need it. When i went there today it was freezing and yet its 100 degrees outside. Also, WE NEED CHAIRS AND SMALL TABLES. We need 5 small tables and lots of chairs so if anybody has any spare 1s, please bring it. Would be much appreciated!

Oh, is it your store, Airbrush King? Regardless, I think it will still be kind of stuffy. I really hope I can still go, as this will be my last Brawl tournament I attend.
If I do go, I can probably bring a couple of chairs, I think I may have like 4 folding chairs. Also, I MAY have a small, rather crappy, card table I could provide too. Not 100% sure.
I say we devote one TV solely to mm's/friendlies (mm's first) and create a signup list so that the order is consistent and fair.
